Best Gift for Children

So much college debt these days. So much talk about needing a college degree to succeed in the workplace. Yet here we are, learning and practicing a skill that promises us a life free of debts and free of employment. We are learning this skill outside of college, outside of tuition, fees, room & board.

Do we want our children to endure a life of college debts without great job security?

Seems to me that a gift of WA (or other similar program) is what we should be giving. Of all the money spent on gifts during the holiday season, how much creates lasting value?

Yep, yep. I went back to school at 45 thinking that if I just got my degree it would be magical. Well, the fact that I have a degree is priceless, but the cost is not. Yikes! You are so right and we need to rethink the value of education when so many people are out of work with education/debt. Good post!

our society is very wasteful, and such a website as WA shows just a glimpse of our wastefulness. We are a nation drowning in debt, yet what value do we get from our wasteful institutions?

Yes and we need to change our attitudes about what is really correct within the national (worldwide) normal lifestyles we think we are in. I think the times have changed so drastically in my short (over 50 years) lifetime but it has changed immensely. I really pray for the youth of today and hope you can all make it.

@JonnyGRP That's true, maybe you can show them someday.

this should be taught in high schools, I will show my nieces and nephews what I learn here when they are ready

You are so right - but there's so much more here - I'm a nearly ready to retire person and this is also so great for folk like me, who are about to give up their jobs and need to have a challenge and the stimulation of other like-minded folk. There are just so many reasons - not just money - to join. I've only been a member for a couple of weeks, and now I can't wait to get on the PC and see what's next, and follow the discussions. Seriously it makes my day. I am getting addicted - so much so that my partner has also joined as a premium member after peering over my shoulder to see why I get up at 5 to hop on to WA. He's caught me up now and we're going through the lessons and classrooms etc together.

You are very lucky (wise) to have such a partner. Life is so much better with such a supportive partner.

I agree and it is addicting! Friends are made and kept here on WA. Such a nice and positive site with education as a side serving. :)

I agree 100%. One of the first thing that crossed my mind when I joined was that I hoped this would be a skill I could teach my son when he gets older so that his only option for making money would not be a regular job. I love that you brought this up.

I started a college fund for my nieces and nephew. I have $1300 of stocks for each child, enough for half a semester at a community college. That same $1300 could pay for 3 years of WA, providing each child with a lifetime skill that allows them to live however they want.

Very well said Jonny. We seem to be having a shifting paradigm in the world and I envision WA being a big part of people's salvation. The best of luck to the success of your websites!

WA is not the only way to learn the skills we are learning. I love WA, but realize that we have other options to learn these skills .

This is in part why I started promoting WA as I saw that there is true value to be had here.

if I ever get my website(s) producing decent income, I'll be quick to become a WA Affiliate.
