Core “Business Start Up” Training

Authoring & Writing Content

I'm going through the training and I'm about 20% done with the 2nd module or training and this question popped in my head. It might be answered further into the training, but

You need to drip feed your content as its never finished, content needs to be published on a regular basis all the time

Thank you for your feedback, it is most appreciated

Hello Jeff,

It depends. If you publish all the content you have created at once and then wait for a long while before you start posting again, that will hurt you in Google.

My suggestion is to pick three days a week spaced apart and publish on those days regularly. Later you will learn to use social media to promote your posts using links to them.

This will give Google the message that your site is active and your visitors will know when to find new content.

Don't worry about your website being thin when you're starting out. As long as you post a minimum of 2-3 posts a week, that will change very soon.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Edwin

Thank you for your feedback it is most appreciated.

I think I will post the home page and 2 articles and then start my drip campaign of 1 post every other day.

Thanks again

It never hurts to add as much content as you are ready to publish, Jeffrey.

Hi

As soon as you create a post, you can publish.

The recommendations is to update blog 2 - 3 times a week a niche a site and that's for the foreseeable future. Consistency is key and Google loves consistency.

As per your niche, the question is WHO would be your target audience vs Not what you are selling to an audience.

I believe it is broad you may want to narrow it down to a subcategory starting out, otherwise you will find it very hard to get noticed by the search engines and to compete with big authority sites. Target audience is important too, who would you be writing to, once you are able to identify them, you are closer to finding a focused niche.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to cover another subcategory.

See example blog post below ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:

So I want to help people with ____________________ ?

Fill in the blank aand you are going to get closer to a specific audience. You may reach out to Publish tab top > Site Content > Templates

Your niche research:-

Questions People are Asking
How to Solutions
Resources Within the Niche
Products You Can Promote/Review
Affiliate Programs
Products
Top Authority Sites/Competitors
Low Competition Keywords
Popular Magazines / Papers / Periodicals
Advertisement Ideas / Headline Ideas

https://blog.feedspot.com/top-50-education-blogs-for-educators-and-teachers/

Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.
