Does Amazon care if you use cloaking links like prettylink or otherwise link to their products without specifically having the link text with the word 'Amazon' in it? Apparently t
Amazon does not allow the "cloaking" or misdirection of visitors, making them think they are not on Amazon.com, or somehow making your link look different than it actually is.
Using prettylinks or a link shortening service is OK because it's a redirect, not a "cloak".
You may run into some people using the word "cloaking" more freely. They may describe prettylink as a link cloaking plugin, but in my opinion, it's not (unless you buy the premium version, which contains different features).
The amazon link issue is discussed here with some pretty good answers: http://marketingwithsara.com/amazon/warning-to-all-affiliate-marketers
I just don't "mask" my amazon links on my website, but do use a link shortening service if I put links in YouTube. Link shorteners are OK, as outlined here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/help/t64/a1
Amazon does not specify. I don't cloak any links. As long as the link takes them to Amazon, they are fine!
Amazon affiliates using cloaking links?

Can anyone please give me feedback on why my pages aren't ranking? Please refer to my blog post for a specific example that I'd like help with. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/negg
Thanks tommy.. I apologize, as I checked my blog post and for some reason my keywords were misspelt, around the wrong way and some of my numbers got deleted (it was a very late-night post)! I have edited and fixed up now it is accurate for traffic and QSR Data. What specific figures would you recommend?
I used traffic 24 QSR 1 for one example, and traffic 72 QSR 8 for the other.
Thanks Chis. unfortunately I coudlnt check the site health as mine is not hosted on WA and it doesn't look like I can use this tool to check health on an external site!
Have already paid for external hosting so I'll stick with that for now.. not sure about the change over process either, if your site loses ranking or not when you switch hosting providers...

This practice is also frowned upon by the major search engines. Be warned.
