Permalink URL Had To Be Changed
Hi All,
I have been struggling to write any content of late, just wasn't in the mood and felt my time is better spent doing something else. In fact I have been watching television, walking my dogs, cutting the grass etc.
Yesterday I felt a little more interested, so I decided to write a post last night. The post is an existing one, still quite new, which I was going to add to. As you gain more online experience we find our own way of improving many things.
When writing a post about football boots (soccer) when a new range gets launched, my post title would relate to the new name of these boots. Therefore my URL Permalink would have this new name range of football boots in the address.
Manufacturers like Nike and Adidas bring out new ranges of football boots monthly, this then caused me a headache. My URL Permalink quickly becomes "obsolete" for the want of a better word, because the name in this URL Permalink is not current anymore, this football boot name I used has been replaced by a completely new name.
So I deleted this post on my website and informed Webmaster Tools, not to look for the URL anymore. In replacing this post I put a sensible title this time, so my URL Permalink could stay and be relevant.
For example the post title is now "Nike Latest Football Boots", meaning this URL Permalink would never need to be changed. All I need to do is delete the older ranges of football boots from my post, as they became superseded by the new releases.
My word count on this post, after my new additions today is 4,273 words, this is content written on football boots that are all new arrivals by one manufacturer.
I hope you are making the most of your weekend, whatever you have decided to do. We are all learning every day of the week by our mistakes.
Thank you,
John

That's a great world count. I've never done any post over 3000 words and I think I will try that soon.
