If this is a part of your theme, then there's nothing you can do, except to get in touch with the developer. This is part of your theme.

You have got the right answer. Try to finish the certification course step by step. Take your time and always take notes.
If you're using wordpress it's easy. Type whatever you want to be linked, select it and at the top of wordpress where you're writing it will show a chain link, click on that and put in web address you want it to go to when people click on it :)
Ha, that would be the easiest way right... I'm so used to hand coding everything I forget that there are quicker shortcuts to do most of this stuff. :)

so it let me do it on your website when i left a comment but it won't do that on my website on my getting started page. any thoughts
You need to be in the text option of the content editor to enter code into a post or page.
When you are in your content editor you need to click on the tab in the upper right corner labeled "Text". It wont work if you use the "Visual" content area.
When you switch to the "Text" editor, you will see the actual code that makes your page work. To help you find where you need to put the code, enter the regular text in the "Visual editor" first and then find it in the "Text editor". This is where you need to put the line of code.
I'll try and find some visual aids I can show you to help if you need it.
