What Do You Do When You Have Hundreds of Ideas to Write?
We often talk about writer’s block but do you do when you are feeling the opposite? It is seldom talked about to the point it doesn’t have a term for it! Sometimes it is called “flow”, or other times it is called “in the zone”. There are also hypergraphia, graphorrhoea, moment of inspiration, flash of brilliance, writer’s fountain ….
Wait! I think I am having one now. Let me slow down!
*Breath in… Breath out*
Okay! Let us go back to our topic. What Do You Do When You Have Hundreds of Ideas to Write?
So what made me write this blog?
Well, it’s because I always have those days when I have nothing to write. Naturally, I will do a quick Google search on how to solve this problem. Of course, Google will give me articles on what to do to overcome a writer’s block. I will follow other people’s tips then BOOOM.
I want to write half a dozen topics!
A few hours later, I have half a dozen blogs!
It sounds like a happy ending, right?
Well, yes I have half a dozen blogs written but all of them are the only introduction.

What to do when you have “writer’s fountain”?
In my opinion, prevention is better than cure so my solution is to plan your blog post and social media contents ahead of time.
Think of a Monthly Theme
At the beginning of the month or the beginning of the year, think of what topic you will focus on each month.
Research Keywords
After deciding what topics you will do per month, your next step is to research for keywords that you will use for your article.
Personally, I like to create a list of several dozen keywords, then I categorize them according to similarity.
Create Your Contents
When you are ready to write your blog, will pick a category that you will use for your blog. Pick a keyword with the best QSR and use it as your primary keyword and use the rest as your secondary keywords.
Benefits of Planning Ahead
More Effective Research and Writing
Having a month theme will be easier for you because you are researching and writing only one content.
This practice is more beneficial to your brain because believe it or not, multitasking decreases the efficiency of your brainpower.
If you study and write one subject at a time, your flow of thoughts will not be interrupted.
Reduces the Negative Effect of Both Writer’s Block and Writer’s Fountain.
Either you have a writer’s block or writer’s fountain, having a plan and storing a list of keywords will be beneficial for you.
It will help you generate ideas when it is not there or help you focus on one topic if ideas are overflowing.
Anything to Add to Further Refine this Strategy?
Got to admit. This strategy is not complete and I would need your input to further refine it.
Please let me know what part of the strategy is lacking and what part is absolutely a must-do.
