Hi All,

Lately, I noticed that it is harder to give comments to others. I initialy thought it is becasue fewer people are using the website comment, but SteveMand suggested that there are actually more people using it is that is why it is harder to find sites to comment on.

[That being said, I need to edit my post and I'll just focus on the benefits of comment section]

Why It Is Nice To Use The Website Comment Section

1. It Is Good For Your Online Reputation Management and Search Engine Reputation

Having comments on your posts can help you get in touch with your readers. In addition to comments makes search engine algorithms think that your articles are great since people leave a comment. As a result, they will tend to rank your website higher!

Finally, Kyle made training about managing our comments. In this training, Kyle mentions that

"Comments are very important to the success of your website. They make your content feel active and engaging, not just to your readers, but also to the search engines. Your goal as a website owner should be to get REAL comments regularly within all of your pages and posts that you create."

2. Free Traffic And Maybe Free Social Media Shares

Now, I do not have any data to back this up but whenever I request for comments, there are usually 2-3 people who leave comments. I know, for some people 2 to 3 people visitors cannot really be counted as traffic but if you are just starting with your blog, 2 to 3 visitors a day is such a big deal.

Also, I believe that our community consists of nice people and are happy to share your article if they find it informative or entertaining. Just be sure to make it easy for them to share it by properly setting up your "social media share icons".

Now, if you are one of those who shares other people site on your social media accounts, please let us know as well!

3. Become A Certified Commenter And Start Making Money

You can become a certified commenter after leaving 50 comments within 30 days. This is not per month but per 30 days.

This means if you start commenting on the 28th of the month, then you will be able to keep your credits for the next 30 days. It will not expire at the end of the month.

Once you completed the requirements, you will become a "certified commenter" and will be eligible for USD cash credits for each comment that you will leave.

What Is The Best Way To Become A Certified Commenter?

1. Focus On A Niche That You Know

I like commenting on articles that are in a niche that I know simply because it is easier to give feedback to their post.Another trick that will help you become efficient in providing feedbacks is to observe and find a pattern on articles in a specific niche. I assure you that there is one. Learning the pattern will help you create a template which you can fill in quickly.

2. Think Of Commenting As Gathering Ideas For Your Blog

I'm guessing one of the reasons why many do not bother to comment is because they do not like to read. This is understandable but reading other people's blog is very beneficial.

Here are some benefits of reading other people's blog:

  • You get some ideas on what to write.
  • You learn from others how to layout your blog.
  • You find great resources that you can use on your own website.

You are free to imitate other people's blog especially the successful ones, BUT MAKE SURE do not to copy and paste their article!

3. Learn To Power Read To Save Time

Yet, another reason I believe why people do not leave a comment is that it takes them time to read a 1000 - 1500 word article.

Learning to power read is actually pretty cool and handy. There are lots of resources that can be found on the internet if you are interested in learning how to to do it, but the rules are actually very simple.

Here are some basic rules that you can do when reading someone else's article for the purpose of leaving a comment.

  • Take note of the niche of the article you are reading
  • Read all the headings and subheadings first
  • Look at the images used or quotations quoted
  • Read from top to bottom, do not read back until you are done the entire article
  • Focus your eyes on the center of the article, try to skip a few words at the beginning and at the end of each line
  • Do not pronounce the words
  • Read at a pace that is fast but at the same time make sure you are able to comprehend what you are reading
  • Trace what you are reading using a pen or your hand
  • Practice

Well, in the beginning, you will probably not going to understand what you are reading, if so, be sure to slow down.

Yes, I am teaching you how to power read but at the same time, I am telling you that you are able to comprehend what you are reading so you can leave a meaningful comment else they might reject what you will say.

Feedbacks/Suggestions?

What I shared works for me. With proper practice, I am pretty sure it will help you too.

To those who are certified commenters, what do you think about my suggestions? Do you think there is a flaw about it? Let me know in the comment section so I can improve my system. Likewise if you have suggestion, please don't hesitate to share it as well!

I find your post to be very positive and you have great suggestions.

We have a good friend who reads all of my inspiration blogs. The other day he said “you sure do get a lot of comments on your blog” he reads every comment.

I do use the comment section for every single post I write.
If I miss something in my post I can address it in comments
If I get a negative comment I can turn it around for my readers.
Comments are very important in my opinion.

I read so much negative about site comments but I receive some exceptional comments.

I use site comments all the time. Why?
1. Most people mean well
2. Comments increase post engagement through thought process
3. I follow the teaching. Reinventing the wheel is wasted effort
4. The comments I get are so positive it boosts my confidence. Even when I know they commenter may only be doing it for me.

I thank you for writing this. I am happy to read a positive post on comments.

Laura

Personally we don't do commenting as it is not a cost effective use of our time for the amount of money available!

HI,

Thank you for sharing!

Yes, I do agree. I usually use my credits to get comments on my articles instead of cashing it in.

Maybe it is just me but I noticed that my articles gets indexed faster when there are some people commenting on it.

Cheers,
JG
