Thank you, Abie,
The support link is for the iphone, ios which works fine, it's my mac's that have the issue. I have spoken with support, and I am now trying other mail clients. The issue seems to be with the siterubix smtp server. In the clients I have tried so far the server times out.
If you own a premium domain, you can. A siterubix subdomain, you CANNOT.

I want to make my email passwords longer; can this be done? The auto generated password is too short and could be easy to break.

Thank you Abie, I have looked at the video training, however, I cannot see where I can alter the system-produced email password. If you know a way to do this let me know. Johng
Those are preset, please reach out to site support and ask them if you can.
Or do a forward instead.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
If you can't create one on your own you can use free password generators such as - https://www.f-secure.com/en/password-generator
Now if you want to feel even more secure - take the password you create with a generator and then rearrange it.
Hope that helps
Are you referring to your email here at Wealthy Affiliate? If so I think I can guide you how to do that!
Thank you Rex, I have look at the video training, however, I cannot see where I can alter the system produced email password. If you know a way to do this then please let me know. Johng
Wow, you are absolutely right! There is no way to change the password that I can see. I did a thorough search in the settings of our site email inside site manager and I see no mention of our passwords there. As far as I can tell there is no way to change it. Sorry Johng, I tried!

We see that you are a Premium Plus member which means you can have 50 hosted website.
You could create a free siterubix.com subdomain and prepare your site there and COPY it your purchased dot com domain when you are ready. All pages, posts. theme, theme settings, images, plugins move. There is no rework.
Site support will do a COPY for you. We do this when making major changes to a LIVE site. Site support copies our live site to a siterubix.com site or a subdomain of a purchased domain. We checkmark settings-> reading to discourage search engines from crawling, it, make the changes and ask site support to COPY it back or our LIVE Main domain when we are done. It works seamlessly.
Thank you, JGH,
I will set up a siterubix site subdomain to carry out all my prep work and will copy it to my leading site as you suggest.
Many thanks

If you're using WordPress anytime you make changes it updates. What you could do is create a test or staging site.
Make your changes there and then when you're happy you can take those changes and apply them to your live site.

Yep, since we get those free websites as premium members - I made a siterubix site into my test site. Saved me all kinds of aggravation when trying something new.
It would be difficult, you can change it momentarily and update it. However I hear what you are saying. Posts ad Pages saved as drafts or pending review.
Thank you, I will set up a staging site going forward so I can experiment without an immediate update as Feigner suggests.

when you are in customize then it doesn't reflect directly on your live site ...only when you click publish...you can't save a customized setup...
the only other way is to setup a staging site ...
content can be made as draft rather than publish - so you can create content but not publish immediately...

i tend to use backup migration plugin as one to create a file for the staging site...
create a siterubix site - add hte plugin and upload the file to it and restore it...
you will have a copy to work on...
