London wanderings
You never know what you are going to come across as you wander round the back streets of London, especially if you make a few discreet enquiries in one drinking establishment there is usually somebody there that knows of an unusual little public house, and this of course starts a chain reaction.
Some nights I cannot remember where I have been until the next morning when I can consult my notes but up to now. I have always been able to get home all right, my last nights notes indicate.
I found my way to one of London’s secret bars, delicious cocktails in hidden venues. Top options include The Luggage Room in Mayfair, The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, Evans and Peel Detective Agency in Earl’s Court and The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town in Spitalfields.

This takes me back to the late 1980s when we pulled to England and took the train to London to bar hop (pub hop). We were lucky and adopted by a couple of barmaids that drug us around to pubs we would not have been accepted in being the ugly Americans we were. Never forget around midnight, everyone in the bar sin
pub singing Hi Ho from Snow White. A great time in a great country with great people. Jay
