I've recently been taken to the woodshed for too many plugins, so i'm looking for opportunities to remove them. I've been using the All In One Favicon plugin but it seems like

This is a great youtube from Lyra

No sure if that would help you for what you are looking for, but I send it to you anyway. this article shows how to do it, not sure if it talks about a plugin. It's worth a shot.

Thank you Kiliwia62, but that's how I got in the 'mess' i'm in right now :)

Sorry to hear that. Great you found the solution through IMc. :)

Yes. Not difficult to do. Just need to upload your favicon using FTP. Then add a small bit of code to the theme header to tell it to display it.

See : https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Favicon

Thanks IMc, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Can a website be both verified with a Google+ Page and my Personal Account? My Google+ Page says that I haven't verified the website, but I know I did for my personal account.

Hey John,
I had the same issue a few months back. Here's what I was told to do. Use your main personal account to verify your site in Google Webmaster Tools. Your main account (g-mail address) is tied to every service Google has to offer including YouTube. After my site was properly verified in webmaster tools I went back to Google Analytics and set up my analytics account. Remember our sites are hosted on subdomains here at WA. Set your site up using Http://yoursite.com and omit the www.yoursite.com.
Once I had those two accounts set up correctly I went back to G+ and entered all my info, links, association, etc. I tried to verify both like you did but had no luck. I then used my main g-mail address and everything seemed to verify correctly. Hope this helps.

I will give it some more time to see what happens. I've got too many GMail accounts as it is...probably confounding the issue. Thank you for your input!

I want to incorporate an area on my home page that is a collection of my various main affiliate partner sites. Each one has a different sized ad banner. I think it looks really a

You can save the banner picture and adjust them in a program to the same size, after that you can add you http:// affiliatelink to them

I wasn't sure I could do this and not risk upsetting the vendors. That's a great idea though, to build them how I want them.

Less is more when it comes to adding banners to your home page.
I usually put 1 or 2 in the left or right sidebar via a widget but make sure they are the same size.

There are plugins to rotate banner images around your site. I have used them, but stopped when I realized they slowed down the loading speed of the site.

You cannot make a small banner larger, but you can resize a large banner to make it smaller without losing image quality.

Perhaps watch Jay's video first. I haven't seen it yet, but knowing Jay, he would have some great tips for adding images to your site:

Thank you. I have seen that video. It turned me on to a new image editor which I can't stop using! Canva, it's amazing! I'm beginning to wonder if my little "Sponsor Cluster" really makes sense. I need to figure out what I am trying to accomplish with it. My challenge is that my chosen theme (Origami) has no sidebar, so the only place I can put ads is inline with the main content.

I looked at your site, and your theme does indeed appear to have a sidebar. You have a sidebar on the right side where you links are currently located.

To populate the sidebar with images, you need to use a text widget

Go to Appearances > Widgets

Here's a tutorial on widgets:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-dashboard-tutorial-widgets.

To add an image into a text widget, copy the banner code in the html field provided, save, and refresh your page and the banner should appear. ~Jude

Thank you! I'm in the midst of an overhaul in that area so things are changing quickly. Thank you!
