The most important factor to grow your website business

Hi all,

I wanted to share what I considered to be the most important factor that all of us can use to grow our website businesses.

The training teaches us the importance of keywords, how to maximise SEO (so the use H1 tags and so on) and the Site Health feature regularly reminds us if we fall behind with content creation or user engagement.

I have at times therefore focussed incorrectly on things like producing an article just to keep my site health up. I've also worried about whether my keyword/keyphrase was used enough in my content and changed posts to include it more

There have been so many things that I have paid attention to, when, as I now understand, the most important thing that I should always take care of first is helping my website visitors and making sure that their experience on my site is as close to 100% as I can make it.

Ultimately we have all created our websites to try and make money and I wanted to highlight for everyone that whereas SEO and all the other technical stuff is important, the most important thing to remember is that a website visitor is a real person and our content needs to help that person.

I tend to forget that the internet is simply a way for real people and businesses to communicate with each other and therefore we all need to focus on the website visitor and their needs.

So, the most important factor to grow your business is to focus all of your attention onto the needs of your website visitors and you won't go far wrong.

Yes John you are so right---focusing on producing quality content on one's website is most important. If a visitor likes the content of your website and finds the information useful, then the sales will come.
