Narrow Niches and Targeted Marketing

One thing that I've learned that I wanted to share was the benefit of making sure that your niche is narrow (but not too small) and that your marketing efforts talk specifically to that niche.

It all seems so simple now I've understood it, but it did take a while for me to grasp.

You're targeting a specific group of people, so design some content that targets their specific problem/need/interest, push them through to an offer page that's relevant to them and hopefully make a sale.

Where projects I've been working on haven't been successful, it's been because I've forgotten this and have been too broad in my approach or not targeted specific issues.

Do other WA'ers agree?

Best wishes

John

Absolutely John. One of the keys is ranking for specific long tail keyword phrases to help define that narrow niche. That seems to make a big difference.
