"Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do! And with your wisdom, develop common sense and good judgment." Proverbs 4:7

LOOK OUT FOR THE FOOLS!

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like unto him. Prov 26 : 4

Fools are everywhere! By this time you might have discovered that to try to correct them is very exhausting. It breaks your focus and wastes valuable time and energy.

The advice given by King Solomon is even to avoid conversation with them.

HOW DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE IS A FOOL?

There are many ways to recognize them. As a matter of fact, they normally announce it themselves! I only want to mention a few characteristics of fools:

  • Fools tell everybody about their offenses.

They want others to feel their pain. In the process they create an army of protestors against the person who offended them, rather than try to settle the offense.

  • Fools want something they have not earned.

They are known for their laziness, especially in spiritual matters. They want your anointing from you with just the “laying on with hands if they are preachers. They are very lazy in working and they want you to feed them.

  • Fools ignore the counsel and advice of mentors and spiritual fathers.

God is so good to us to always place wise and experienced people near us. That person represents escape from your present and a golden door to your future. Yet, every day fools ignore the proven counsel of successful people around them. Many people are failing in business, managing thier homes and organizations because of their foolishness of ignoring counsel and advice.

  • Fools refuse to admit their mistakes even when their pain is proof of it.

To make a mistake is not the sign that you are a fool – it’s when you refuse to admit it that everybody knows you are a fool.

  • Fools are in confusion by labeling a friend as an enemy.

They become like Judas, and will betray a good friend because of the negative talk of a fool, they have allowed to give input in their lives.

As a wise leader you will recognize the fools you have met up to now. Sometimes it’s good to evaluate your own life and actions towards the above, just to establish your own state of wisdom.

HOW DO YOU SEE REJECTION?

We all have experienced rejection some or other time in life. How do you see the rejection – as a door or a wall?

Rejection is a beginning and not an end. It is merely the opinion of someone who is incapable of discerning your greatness. Remember, you have greatness within you.

Millions enjoy the entertainment created by Walt Disney, but not everybody know that he was rejected by a newspaper for being not creative enough. Disney saw the rejection as a door to his next season. It was his entry into a new world. He saw his future! This is wisdom and understanding the scene behind.

Rejection cannot stop your future from emerging. It’s only your unwillingness to persist that can stop you. That’s why we must learn from past rejections by focusing on something bigger than the opinions of others.

The opinion of others have nothing to do with your success. Their rejection can only affect your feelings, not your future. Feed upon dreams until it becomes so big you cannot remember the rejection. We must always learn how to refuse to be offended and choose to be happy always in every circumstances. You are the architect of your own life.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ORDER IN MINISTRY/BUSINESS AND YOUR PERSONAL LIFE

The first thing God established on earth was order. No significant prayers comes from disorder. To bring your life to order is one of the most important steps you can take.

What is order?

Order is the accurate arrangement of things. That means you put something where it belongs. We are created for order. Order increases comfort. You want to stay in an orderly room because it feels clean.

When you increase order in your life, you will increase your productivity. That’s why order will eliminate stress and agitation. Ever looked for something on a cluttered desk? By the time you find it, you are agitated.

Your decisions in life will affect order in your life. When you decide to leave your clothes on the floor, you create disorder and that will have an effect on your life – you’ll have to pick it up some or other time...may be when you don’t have the time to do it.

Even the people around you can increase order or disorder in your life. There are people who are masters in creating disorder (in the physical and emotional). Don’t stay around them for too long...

Sometimes disorder can have a long-term influence. Over time it can create chaos and loss. That will eventually destroy your productivity. That is why wisdom is the foundation of how we journey in life.

If you are a person who tends to be disorderly, recognize those who God has put close to you who can help you to keep things in order.

May you walk in order everyday.

A BAD TIME FOR DECISION MAKING...

There is one time when you make NO important decisions, and that is when you are tired.

Fatigue creates potential mistakes – many of them nobody can afford. There are a few mistakes that you have to avoid:

  • Fatigue makes mountains look bigger than they are.
  • Fatigue causes valleys to seem deeper.
  • Fatigue causes offenses to come easier. Little things become big and your mind replays wrongs that people have done to you.
  • Fatigue makes you less tolerant of the views and needs of others.
  • Fatigue makes you focus more on what you want instead of the more appropriate method for achieving it.
  • Fatigue turns your focus to short-term goals and lets long-term goals slip out of your future.
  • Fatigue contaminates your communication. Rash, hasty and wrong words are spoken.
  • Fatigue robs you from investing appropriate and sufficient time for planning ahead.
  • Fatigue causes you to meditate too much on your own mistakes.
  • Fatigue highlights the flaws and mistakes of others.

We have messed many things because of the fatigue and were not aware.

Take time to rest, because rest restores.

Let’s take the advice from Jesus: And He said unto them, come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. Mark 6:31

Refusing to be offended. What a wonderful way of saying this piece of wisdom.

This is an excellent note, Mr. Dolf. You must always try your best to conquer self, and if you fail, self will conquer you. Thank you many times.

Thank you for the great post.

Thank you woman of peace

Really great post!
Your article is a real guide to get away from idiots and focus on virtuous and honest people. But as you say so well, we may want to escape the idiots sometimes they come to us and in this case, we must sometimes try to advise them to hope to see a change in their behavior which can be very difficult for some people.

Have a nice day!
Ingrid

Thank you so much Ingrid

Well said my friend. Strangely, while I was reading your blog I was also listening to a documentary about Walt Disney. Jim
