I feel like I'm not getting anywhere. I know this online business takes time, but I can't help feeling I've done something to slow it down. It's been over a month and I've only

Hi Joey,
Your website looks great and it's obvious you've done a lot of work on it. I'd follow the advice you've been given below and keep on adding more content to your site. Do more reviews and keep adding things to your site that your visitors will find helpful. Hang in there, only a month's time isn't a whole lot yet. Give it some time along with the effort and it will get there.
My website didn't see hardly any traffic either until after 3 months or so and even then it took a little longer for people to buy anything. It takes awhile for Google to rank sites and the more quality content you have the better.
So, keep on working at it and learning more as you go. You can do it, you already have an awesome start, so don't give up on it! :)

I appreciate the encouragement!

Gosh your website is really good to start things up! You already have the framework ready, now all you really need to do is to add in much much more content. trust me add 10-20 more reviews, boost your content and the whole website will totally be awesome! no joke, not saying things just to be nice but i really feel that way! awesome start up!

Thank you, I'll focus more on the reviews.

Hi Joey - Not sure that I'm going to be very helpful here. It's clear you have been doing a lot of work on your site. Here are some things you may want to think about, though they're not likely to impact on visitor numbers)
1. Your slider - I would slow down the speed. I couldn't actually read any of the slide information before it had moved on.
2. You need to sort out the length of post you are going to have visible on your homepage so it doesn't create these large gaps which look a bit odd.
3. Professional Gamer Gear - this just has a lot of amazon links. You don't really provide the reader with much information from you - which I think is a pity.
4. Links - I think you would be better having larger amazon images - they just look a bit lost - and you would be better placing the links with the text wrapped round than at the end.
5. Keywords - It wasn't always obvious to me whether or not you are using keywords (one in the title and one in the first paragraph).
6. Giving your readers 'value'. I notice you have a couple of posts where you just tell people to watch a video eg Surface 2 Review. Well as a reader I also want an opinion from you - or why would I bother to buy? You need to be sure about the added value you are offering them - so they keep coming back to you rather than going to another video gaming review site.

Hope this helps a bit :) Beverley

Thank you Beverley, a few of those things you mentioned I definitely didn't want to hear! But thank you for pointing them out. I already made some changes and will take what you said into account in the future.

One month is really too early to tell how your site is going as far as rankings and traffic go. Google doesn't rate new sites very well, it can take 3 - 4 months before you start getting good traffic. I had almost no organic traffic from searches in the first 3 months, the only visits were from here.

If things don't improve after a few months you might want to narrow your niche a little. Say for example focus on gaming for money etc. Video games is a very broad topic. It will take you longer to build authority on a broad niche.

Okay thanks, I'll stick it out I guess.

It might help to advertise. There is a ton of websites that you could advertise for free on.

Do you know any of those sites I can advertise for free?

I got a letter from domain.com saying I need to buy registration "to get your website listed with Google, Bing and Yahoo" is this true or are they just trying to sell me one mor

Thanks for asking this, I got the same thing and was a bit worried about it.

Oh okay great, thanks very much!

Just an attempt to get your money, you don't need it.

Do I need to register my website through domain.com for it to show up on search engines?
