Will I be a success at Wealthy Affiliate?
The bigger question - do you want to be?
- Surprisingly, some people have a greater fear of success than fear of failure.
- A lot is expected from us if we are successful.
- How do you define successful? Make lots of money? Have a lot of friends?
- All of this can be defined as successful.
Some people place a lot of emphasis on rank
- I was in the military. Lot of pressure to move up the ladder.
- Ever wonder what the dog would do if he caught the car he was chasing?
- Is making a lot of money a success?
- I'm in the top 100, but how do I stay there?
- Be honest with yourself - what does success mean to me - yes, ME?
- Will I fail? Can almost promise you will - actually, I guarantee it!
- Like Kyle said in his post, what do you do when you fail? Learn from it? Drop out?
Come to grips with what success means to YOU!
- Please don't get caught up in the comparison game - competing with someone.
- The only one you need to compete with us YOU.
- I look at some great posts - WOW - I could never do that!
- Don't have to!
- I doubt you will get a message from Kyle or Carson telling you that you failed.
- Does it really matter? It only matters if you lay there and wallow in it!
The weekend is coming, or is here in some places
Take some time and write yourself a letter. Be totally honest with yourself. Just what does success mean to me? If I don't make a fortune on WA, did I fail? Only if you think you did. What if I make mistakes? What if I make some real bloopers in my posts?
Learn from it. Grow from it. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. Wish I had a dollar for every time I failed in my 81 years... I'd be a millionaire laying on a beach drinking cocktails!
You are the success you want to be. Dare to dream. Dare to fail. It's usually not fatal unless you're a pilot, and I've done that and still here.

Hi Joe, like very much your Post:) It is a good learning curve. At the moment I am struggling. So it is a confidence booster for me. Thanks! Menka
Excellent post, very inspiring. I feel everyone is so worried about failure that they forget that it is these failures that help you learn and grow in life and as a person.
As usual Joe you've hit the nail on the head... Success is relative, what I class as success is probably very different to what you do.
The point is success is achieving what you set out to do.
Making that first website...
Make that first commission..
Make that first 1k...
Being able to give up working for a boss...
All can be classed as success...
But not giving up when you have a failure... That is success too.
Regards
Gaz
