Where have the pioneers gone?

In America, they traveled in covered wagons!

  • Thousands died searching for their dream.
  • All over the world, millions have left homes and families, trying to find a new life.
  • These were the pioneers.
  • Thomas Edison... Henry Ford... The list goes on.
  • Men and women who risked everything for a better life.

The risk takers.
  • People who dared to be different.
  • Someone who was not afraid to take a risk.
  • The lone wolf who defied the crowd who said "it can't be done".
  • What about you... do you fit in this picture?
  • Will you be a "game changer"?

I have quoted it often as Steve Jobs dared to be different. Agree with him or not, but he helped change the world. Here's what he said:

"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently - they're not fond of rules... you can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they7 change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Go ahead and be a crazy one! I double dare you!

Hi Joe, thanks for sharing the above, those pioneers were a very special kind of people. My ancestors were among them and sometimes I think YES!.......surely we have inherited some of those characteristics. It's in our DNA! So let us not procrastinate any further, saddle up the horses and get moving forward ........it's what we are here for, to create a place in this new digital world with the best organisation known to the online marketing world Wealth Affiliate and its awesome community.

Take care.

Johan.

Great Johan.

...uhm ... 'push the human race forward' ... need to consider this quote ... good one & thought-provoking as well ...

... yes, the species need to evolve and ascend onward to a better part of the evolutionary scale of things ...

... and yes, have often wondered 'where are the pioneers of today?' ... maybe one of them is the one who wants to fly to Mars! ...

You can do it Keisha.

Awesome little inspirational post for the morning! I couldnt agree more with your message. We should strive to shatter the existing paradigm, or status quo.

Always push the boundaries and dare to break through the plateau to the next Level! :D

This kind of MENTALITY adopted will take us unimaginable places.

Joe,
loved the read. I am a pioneer!!! Coming from a Place that was riddled by War and growing up in a divided City I was raised that way. when moving to the US i was experiencing that " culture shock " trying to make people "see" that different is good but it has been a way of life for me and even with experiencing of being laughed at, joked about and called names,it has not shaken my believe I can make a difference. Albert Einstein said : . "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution." I live by that.
cheers

Andrea, the people who make fun of you are the losers! Hold your head up high and show them!

I've always been fascinated by my Grandparents Pioneer Journeys...maternal grandmother escaped Germany alone in a treacherous boat at age 14 ...survived Atlantic crossing in 1914....arrived Omaha Nebraska then emigrated Saskatchewan Canada with Free Land off er and became successful wheat farmers...my grandfather travelled them rails once off boat in Halifax in their early 30's Depression and the dust bowl...grandma's first husband died when my mom (youngest of 5) was only 9 months old...he died of Sepsis from a tooth pulled.. Grandpa was a feisty thrifty smart Scotsmen. ..his unique thinking kept them fed all during depression ...Areason: " Always keep a field in fallow"...kind of a metaphor for how I manage my money and life...look it up people!!! Thank you Chris for this Pioneer Post. .made my dayz

What a great story... love it.
