They stayed away by the hundreds!

That's the reply of a pastor friend.

  • I had asked him... how many did you have in church Sunday?
  • Most of us can relate to this.
  • We've built elaborate websites... installed all the right plug-ins...
  • No traffic! They stayed away by the hundreds!
  • What are we doing wrong?

First Question...

  • Did you follow the lessons? They are very explicit on setting up your website.
  • Search Jaaxy to find a good niche? Or do you have a niche????
  • Maybe better... do you know what a niche is?
  • Have you written great content relating to your niche? Not just good... GREAT!
  • Are you indexed on Google... has Google got you on their radar yet?

Be honest here...

Do you actually read what you have written? Have you run your work through the spell and grammar checker?

I have to be blunt here... I have been embarrassed by some stuff I have read... and there is no excuse for it!

Don't speak English? Use Google Translate! Then run it through the ABC spell check and grammar check... make the corrections... don't ignore them!

If you don't understand it, how will your prospects understand it?

Did you KISS it... Keep It Simple Stupid! Don't write in scientific mumble jumble. Use common words, short sentences, short paragraphs, easy to read style.

This is not a religious post, so don't ride off into the sunset with that... confess... is this the best I can do? Will people read what I have written?

Am I relating to my prospects? Am I knowledgeable? Research BEFORE you write. Double check your facts. Make sure you understand what you have written.

End of rant.

Joe

Good points, Joe. I always read my posts to proof before running them through the grammar checker, because if the wrong word is still a word, the grammar checker won't catch it. Then I do the grammar check too. I still miss one occasionally, but try to catch them all.

Thanks Joe . I don't know if this is appropriate but I just posted my first article .I am pretty sure it is not perfect.I am willing to edit it in all the way possible .I think i need feedbacks at the point where i am before i continue.

Whoever will see this comment please tell me what you think about my article .I am willing to work on it more and do more research .

My website is www.wesmartdevices.com

Thank you very much

Wel, a longe time I hesitated to write because English is not my mothertongue. But now I have started and write just as it comes to my
spirits and hope that people understand what I try to explain.
I learned English not at school only by living in the country (Australia it was
over five years) The strange thing is when I cam back to Germany and
tried to find a job where i could use the language - I needed a document
to prove that I had learned the laguage and therefore went to school to
get the certicificale I needed and the most funny part of this is when I made the exame, the last sentence from one member off the commision was the advice ... do something about your GERMAN .--

I struggle with writing and still not at the stage where I can determine whether my posts are good or great. I use Grammarly and the Hemingway App to help, but realize they are necessary but they can't determine if the post is great. My hope is that as I continue to write, it will get better.
