There is a reason!

We emphasize training first.

  • We understand the desire to hit the ground running.
  • Understandable the desire to get a website and make money.
  • Perfectly normal to want to write blogs and posts first.
  • So easy to get the cart before the horse!

We keep hearing and seeing it...

  • Yet, many of us don't pay attention to it.
  • DO THE TRAINING FIRST!
  • Slow down. Haste makes waste.
  • It is possible to rush into doing the website and getting it all wrong.
  • Kyle has spent years figuring this out... Do the training!

I'm sure many of you get tired of hearing this, but I keep seeing it every day. Questions that are already answered in the lessons. Blogs that are full of errors. Websites that ask for reviews and they are just too bad to make them work!

Please, please...take the advice of an old man!

  • I have done it wrong so many times, I want to help others avoid this.
  • Just take your time.
  • Yes, we want you to be successful.
  • Of course, we want you to blog.
  • More than anything, for your own sake, we want you to do it right.

Bottom line...the training works! I have learned so much here. You can too, however, you have to do it. The training won't jump out of the computer into your brain.

We want you to ask questions, however, 99% of the answers are in the lessons. I'm sure I will upset some people. You know something? Deal with it!

Great post, I had decided when I joined WA to learn at a steady pace, and re-reading sections so I know why we do it in a certain way. I have been guilty in the past Of reading at break neck speed. All it does is put you in over your head, like jumping in the deep end of the pool before learning to swim, no platform to build on so then Who gets the blame for the failure “the system”.

Great post and great thoughts.
Thanks
Joe

I really like your posts. They are always straight forward.

I can't wait to see more!!

They're in the pipe!
Thanks
Joe

Joe,
You are so right. It is all in the training. and often, the training doesn't settle in the first time you read through it--you have to go through it again, and maybe again.
That being said, some of us have certain difficulties with learning. If we are old enough to be in WA, we should have stumbled over them by now.
I am a total read only learner-when I was in school and college, videos were un-heard of. The last two years of college a few were used but not many. I find that most videos drive me nuts and I get very little out of them. Others have a language problem. Oh, how I would like to teach an English and Spelling class!
Then there are some who are too impatient to wait and work through the lessons.
No matter what our learning problems are, we still have to get through the lessons- and then ask the questions.

Barbara, you are so right. Fortunately I am able to deal with the videos, but do prefer writing. That's why every lesson that Kyle does, I always read his summary at the end of the lesson
Thanks for your reply. It is shared with many of us.

Right on Joe!

Sometimes I feel that there are members who think there is a short cut by asking questions without going through the training. There isn't.

I suggest that even after you have completed a lesson, go through it again. Af least pick out the ones where you know you have weaknesses and go over these again.

Jay Neill has conducted so many Webinars on virtually every topic in the lessons, but in more depth. I often do a search on my weak areas to find out webinars that I need to watch.

The solutions are all there.

Cheers.

Edwin

Edwin, you are so right. I have done the lessons, reviewed them, done them again, listened to Jay's webinars, and there is still so much that I am missing.
Just have to stay after it.
Thanks
Joe

That reminds me of the tortoise and the hare you who won that one a :) thanks Joe946

Yep...I'm the tortoise!

This is a true story...it's not rocket science but I've seen so many jump ahead...instead of following the training each lesson at a time!

And you are right, within the training we are encouraged to do site reviews, site comment reviews etc as a 'pay it forward' whilst I embrace this concept, it's very difficult to remain upbeat and deliver a positive review when the training has not been completed to the letter. I often skip fro that reason, maybe I should start being honest.

Thanks for the honest post Joe.

I have skipped the reviews myself for the same reason. I didn't feel I knew enough to comment. Still don't. You have to do what you are comfortable with.
Thanks
Joe

Joe how do you manage time to blog like this in WA. I have seen 10 blog post that is yours

Actually, 130. Time is what we make. We all have the same amount. I get up early (2 hours before my wife) and go to bed 1 hour after.) Been doing it for years.
Joe

I always love reading your blog posts, you rock 🤘

Thanks
Joe

The training here are golden. And it's important to implement the things we learn trough the training, and feedback. Otherwise how can we make progress or reaching our goals?

So true. Just gotta bite the bullet and do it.
