The pain is real!
For our Aussie Friends!I just heard from my dear Aussie friend Jim (Jkulk1) and the fire is so devastating he has lost his business, most of the equipment and is going to have to take a break from WA for a couple months to try to recover. He asked that I let his friends know he will be back as soon as he can.
I noticed this morning that several American firefighters have arrived to try to help our friends with this horrible experience. The thought that some at least, of the fires were deliberately set is almost unthinkable!
There are many sites on the internet that are trying to help our friends, but I urge you to be careful as there are always evil scammers who are trying to take advantage of the terrible situation.
At the risk of sounding like a religious post, I ask for thoughts and prayers for our friends.
If you communicate with any of our Aussie friends, and I know many of them, please let them know you care and are thinking and praying for them.
I can't suggest anything else you can do. Do what your heart and ability is... it will be appreciated.
Joe

This is a huge disaster indeed and something that has been in our minds for a while, Joe. Added to that our daughter arrived in Aus on Sunday and will be there for 4 months on a working tour. We pray for the well-being of all. I hope Jim & other WA family are safe.

Jim, You'll be back soon and stronger. It is crazy what is going on there. My son is flying tomorrow to Australia. I really hope this madness ends soon.

I know the pain and suffering is real and will lag on for quite a while. It is something that nobody should have to be going through. I wish him and everybody in that part of Australia the best because I can't think anything that would be meaningful to them.
