The best and the worst!

A crisis brings out the best and worst!

  • Con artists preying on the people affected by COVID19.
  • Crooks stealing money from vulnerable people.
  • Ripoffs conning people out of their bank accounts.
  • Bad people who are taking advantage of the current crisis.
  • Yes, it tends to bring out the very worst in people.

BUT, it also brings out the best in people!

  • Random acts of kindness.
  • People taking groceries and prescriptions to shut ins.
  • Food banks helping hundreds of people.
  • Someone pays for the person's groceries in front of them.
  • Taking people to the doctor or dentist who are unable to drive.

Doctors, nurses, police, fire fighters... the list goes on.

  • Good people stepping up and helping others.
  • Great workers going above and beyond the call of duty to help.
  • Super people working in food kitchens to feed the poor and unemployed.
  • Wonderful people giving thousands of dollars to help needy families.

YES... there are many, many more good people, doing random acts of kindness, helping, giving and caring for others.

Here at WA, we see it every day... people helping... our chat room workers, working to help others instead of building their own business... unselfish, caring people.

We'll get through this mess... together we're going to make it... just you watch us go!

I'm sad to say the part about the bed - it's very true! Cons and thieves and bed people are always here around us, even when "peaceful time", without any crisis. They make it their mission to know who are the best targets, who are the most vulnerable, and they attack! I believe, if we all try our best to look after each other, to pay attention especially to those who might get targeted, their success rate will be much lower and, the world, maybe just by an inch, will be a better place.
It is very encouraging to see, and even more to be a part of those who are on the brighter side.

Once after a hurricane somebody was selling 20 pound bags of ice for $10 out of an 18 wheeler.

The leeches are always there!

Heyy Joe, love reading your blogs. Firstly, the heart in it and secondly, the brevity. How you pack in so much in just a few words...beautiful.
