Stress is a killer!
Few think they are stressed!
- Many of us never realize that we are stressed.
- I read that there has been a 40% increase in mental problems since Covid.
- There is stress everywhere.
- People losing homes, cars, jobs.
- Families at war with each other.
- Everyone wants to succeed.
- Pressure to build a website.
- Stress to get the right niche and domain.
- Trying to write content for our website and yet still blog here at WA.
- Write... write... write... that's all we hear. Content, content, content... does it end?
- Stop... take a break... back away from the computer.
- Get a good book... works for me.
- Trying to work a full time job and keep up with the lessons here at WA?
- Prioritize... you hear it all the time, but it is the only answer.
- Make a list... yes, it's that simple. A simple "to do" list with things ordered this way:
- Things I have to do. Things I want to do. Things I could do. Things I'm not going to do.
- Then, work the list. It's not rocket science.
This quote from Holly Mosier can change your life. Try it:
"Learn to say no to demands, requests, invitations, and activities that leave you with no time for yourself. Until I learned to say no, and mean it, I was always overloaded by stress. You may feel guilty and selfish at first for guarding your down-time, but you'll soon find that you are a much nicer, more present, more productive person in each instance you do choose to say yes."
Don't believe it? Learn to say the N word... NO!

Great post Joe! As a former stress victim I totally agree. Do not stress! I actually got sick from stress many years ago. I do relexation techniques now.
It is a mental and emotional state you need to put yourself into.
And I have never stressed since.
It is about listening to your body. Like you say : most people have no idea that they are stressed before they collapse as I did.
When you stress you make worse decisions and perform worse. Take time to just be you.
Everyone needs some stress as it's part of life. The problems start when you get too much.

Another belter, as is your standard Joe, thank you.
Stress can be linked to a whole host of issues that can manifest if we don't keep it in check.
Putting aside some time to 'decompress' is so very important nowadays, especially if we want to accomplish all that we have set our minds to.
Great points Twack.
Thanks
Joe
Most welcome.
