It's embarrassing to land with the landing gear up!

It's just not good!

  • At worst, it's disasterous.
  • Seems simple, but you have to follow the rules.
  • Every pilot follows a checklist and the landing is definitely on that list!
  • I have witnessed pilots who forgot the gear and it became a very noisy and expensive mistake.
  • Can it be avoided? Of course... follow the rules.

What has that got to do with me?

We all make mistakes!

  • We get in a hurry... gotta get my website up!
  • Gotta get my rank up... no matter what it takes.
  • Don't have time for all of the lessons... I already know that stuff!
  • Rush into a niche I know nothing about... oops!

We all do it!

  • There is a process here at WA and it works!
  • May come as a shock to you, but it has been carefully thought out.
  • Smarter people than me have planned this process...
  • You know something? It actually works!

So, just chill... follow the rules. Don't get in a rush and forget the basics... put the gear down!

Use the check list and when that fails, USE THE CHECKLIST!

Don't land with the landing gear retracted... it's embarrassing and expensive.

Thanks Joe, Good advice. I do have one question though, there is a lot of training here. I know it's all necessary but I also know that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. My question, what is the best, shortest, way to go through the lessons to get from start to picking a niche to having a website up and running? Do you have a recommendation about that?
Thanks,
John

Great question. My apologies for jumping in even when I see the question wasn't directed to me. I think the best shortest way is to follow Kyle's queues to the training. For each lesson, you complete on Kyle's Qs, check Jay's weekly webinars too relating to that lesson. And if you still find difficulties processing any of that you have learned, use the black search bar which is above your profile to find additional pieces of training or blog posts from members within the platform. Again, if none of it makes sense still, drop a question on the Question platform or live chat area.

I hope this helps :)
All the best!

John, the lessons were designed in order to get you to the finish line as quick as possible.
It worked for me.
Wishing you great success.

Put your landing gear down is it! And make sure you are on the right landing strip or airport! I know! We were in a C-141 and our pilot landed somewhere in Greece, a friendly ally. When I looked out the window I noticed we were met by machine gun ready jeeps full of folks in undershirts and skivvies! Must have been a mini-emergency! There were two of these jeeps. And they did not look one bit welcoming!

Make a long story short we were at the wrong place. I will not say much but it was a US Air Force cargo plane. He lowered his landing gears BUT...he read his navigations wrong! Or it could have been the darn airplane's fault!

Lesson learned: Know where you are and know where you are headed!

Great post Joe!

Hey Joe.
Done that! It happens too often.
Joe

Aha! So it was not a fluke landing or navigation! Ha ha ha!

Glad I am retired from the military now! Won't be flying with the Air Force folks! : )

Joe

Right. Served the USAF 1955 - 1961. Thanks for your service.
Joe

Thank you for your service Joe!

Joe

Thanks.

Hi Joe, this did make me giggle! I am currently working my way through the training again... this time slowly and methodically.
I am enjoying it so much more the second time around, as this time I mostly understand what I am doing and why. First time around I missed the point of a lot of the training, as 'I didn't know, what I didn't know', so I missed the point of a lot it?!
Now I feel like I will land at the finish much more comfortably, complete with landing gear in place! Have a great week and thank you, Sue 😊

Great reply.
Thanks
Joe

No just embarrassing but dangerous most times!

Thanks
Joe
