I like that!

Last Update: November 19, 2019

Like... a powerful word!

All of us use that word a lot. I like the weather... I like coffee... I like a good steak! Then, there's the opposite... I don't like that! We are very emphatic on our likes and dislikes.

There's a lot of talk about the power of attraction. No mater what your thoughts are about that, we all attract or repel people and things.

I confess, there are posts that I see on WA that I like and some I don't like. If I see something I don't like, I don't grace it with a reply (that doesn't mean if I don't reply to your post, I don't like it... I may not see it).

If I meet someone I don't like, I choose to not spend time with them. If I eat something I don't like, I won't eat it again!

There is a "like" button on all blogs. Doesn't take but a second to hit it if you like it. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it nor do you have to comment on it... just ignore it.

Some may feel they need to refute or rebuke a blog. Unless it is offensive or abusive, leave it!

Is it permissive to tell someone you like their blog or their attitude? Of course!

Surround yourself with people you like. Enjoy and like blogs that you like. I'm making an effort to not react when I get a negative reply to a blog... negative attracts more negative! Leave it!

I have met some wonderful friends here on WA that I dearly like and enjoy reacting with. I always hit "like" on their post. Remember my mother's advice: "If you can't improve on the silence, keep your mouth shut". Still hear those words ringing in my ears!

By the way, I like WA and I like my friends here.

Joe

This is me hitting the imaginary 'Love' button. I have seen and received some responses lately that reaLily have me scratching my head. Thank you for sharing this. I sometimes think a WA etiquette 101 would be of benefit but the folks that would benefit most would probably not 'like' it!

I got this! I like this! I like Joe! My problem...what if I don't like some of my own posts, but think others might? As a matter of fact, I don't even like this comment. I think I'll shut up. I'm sure you'd like that!! Hey Joe...I LOVE your WA posts. SERIOUSLY!!

I'm with you on this, Joe! I respect everyone's right to express their opinion but when I read a post I don't like, I choose not to comment on that. Very rare but it does happen.
I love being surrounded by people I like, eating food I like and attracting more of what I like :)
Definitely the best thing we can do!

Your Mother gave sage advice. I used to rise to every challenge in the real world and I would not let anyone treat me or speak to me in a disrespectful way. Unfortunately my response was not always in proportion to the challenge.

If someone says something negative about you or your statements it is usually them that has the problem not you. There is a lot to be said for walking away.

I still let people know that I don't agree with them but I usually finish it with something like you are entitled to your own opinion.

When It comes to WA there is no point to leaving negative comments. Like you say my friend.

Just don't read it.
