Going down for the third time!

Is it possible to just be overwhelmed?

  • The answer is YES!
  • Trying to tackle all the lessons...attempting to blog...setting up my website.
  • Finding the money to go Premium.
  • Making a living and supporting my family.
  • Pressure of getting ranked on WA and search engines.
  • Illness in family.

It's so easy to tell people "don't worry", when it's not you that's drowning! It's easy to be critical when someone posts a "sad story" blog. Most of the time, people just want a sympathetic ear, not feedback.

Okay, that's the problem...what is the solution?

  1. When you join WA, sign up as a starter. Check it out.
  2. Can I afford the monthly/annual membership?
  3. Do I really have the time to do this? Am I working 2 jobs to keep food on the table?
  4. Be honest with yourself... Count the cost before you start to build the house.
  5. As a starter, you will have an opportunity to make sure this is what you want.
  6. Internet marketing is not for everyone...let's face the facts.

I can do this!

Maybe not. As I have gotten older, one of the hardest things for me to do is to admit I can't do what I did 50 years ago! Once I came to grips with that and decided I don't have to be everything to everyone, I could finally sigh and look in the mirror and not feel guilty.

Don't come to WA with delusions of grandeur. Don't expect miracles...instant money...instant anything...ain't gonna happen!

So, make up your mind what you can and cannot do.

Then, make a plan. Count the cost. What do I expect from WA? Realistically, can I make it a year without seeing any results?

Remember the old pilot's word. Plan your flight, then fly your plan!

Let's fly!

Hi Joe,

This blog does everyone a great service. In crystal clear terms you are helping people to make an assessment if embarking into the world of online marketing is the best thing for them.;

At the same time the person must realize that this is a challenge. It is going to be tough. And that they must enter this world with their eyes wide open. It is OK to feel overwhelmed. The saving grace is we can make progress at our own pace. The key to success is to be consistent. Do a little every day. And measure our progress.

If someone cannot do that then the decision is clear. Don't.

Thanks for this post Joe that gives a lot of food for thought.

Cheers!

Edwin

Thanks Edwin. I love your attitude and spirit!

Sometimes we need a reality check....this is it!

I never had ideas of grandeur but my aim is to buy of build a house my kids and I. That will come if I do not give up!:)

Yes it can be overwhelming here. Having to do all we do and we all have lives outside of WA that we need to attend to. Sometimes it can feel as if you are being pulled in different directions.

There have been many times that I have been here blogging and my home life is a mess. I am basically using my words to motivate myself.

I think the thing is to pace ourselves, not bite off more than we can chew. In the end I guess we will all do what we think we need to do.

Claudia

Claudia, you have a great attitude and spirit. You will have the house for you and your kids. Stay for the long haul.

Great advice, Joe. I have decided to go on as long as it needs. I'm ready not to see any money for 6 months, maybe more. But I want to see some improvements like google ranking getting better etc. I know it takes a long time to build up something but there are so many examples of people who did it so I'm determined to get there, too.
I've been constantly thinking about "the plan", it's still not there but I'm considering all options and it's a lot of thinking :)

Lenka, your positive attitude will take you all the way.
Joe

Thank you Joe!

Good advice,Joe, for whatever age group you are in. At WA, you are planning for your future, not getting tomorrow's rent.

Spot on Barbara!
Joe

So true. Thank you, Joe for another great post.

Roger.

My favorite pilot, Gen. Bob Scott said it like this, when cleared to land: “Roger Dodger you old Codger...I’m a General too”.

😂

Thanks, Joe for your comment, Experience and reality bring out the light and is the best way to work and live together

Affiliate marketing is completely new to me and very overwhelming for sure!

I tell myself everyday that this is work in progress and don't expect over night success!! This is a learning process and there is a lot to learn!

I feel patience is definitely key and all we can do is just do what we can do everyday!

All the best Joe:)

You have the right attitude. You will succeed.
Joe

Thank you Joe:)))

Great advice, Joe!

Very insightful blog Joe. I think expectation ruins a lot of plans but planning wisely and realistically has got to be a winning solution.

Thanks Helen. I just want people to sit down, count the costs and decide before they leap!
Thanks
Joe
