Find the time!
Just ain't enough time in the day!
- Where have I heard this? Just this morning actually...
- I said it!
- Too many balls in the air... I'm dropping them.
- Blogs, websites, lessons, emails, phone calls... no end in sight.
- I see light at the end of the tunnel... it's a freight train coming at me!
The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get!
I keep cutting it off and it's still too short! I can't win for losing...no end in sight. Yes, we're all in the same boat.
So, what's the solution Mr. Know It All?
- You don't have to do a post to your website every day...shocking I know!
- Neither do you have to answer every blog every day...speaking to myself now.
- When someone likes your post, you don't have to reply or say thank you...Hmm.
- Surprisingly, you don't need to spend an hour on the chat roll...but it so much fun!
- It is not necessary to check your site health every day... but it's not doing well!
I had a mild heart attack several years ago. I was leading tour groups and had a very important group that I had to take to Central America in the next two days. I told the doctor I had to get out of the hospital and go with the group.
He filled a pan with water, set it in front of me and told me to put my fist in the water. After I did, he told me to pull it out and look for the hole that was left in the water! That's how much that group will miss you if you aren't there! Ouch!
That's a shock to the ego, but is true for all of us. No one is indispensable... if you're dead, you can't help anyone.
So, choose your battles. Plan your day carefully. Leave blank spaces in the day...you're going to need them.

Hey Joe, insightful as always. I haven't thought of that particular analogy. I have seen this come to pass in many ways in my life.
There is so much truth in that sudden awareness. It hurts to make that realization...but in the end...we come out better for it. We don't put so much value in the things we think are important or stress over.

It's all about finding the right balance but sometimes it is easy to get carried away and before you know it the time is 3am , you have to be up with the kids soon and there is just one more thing to do !

I have heard it said, that “Time is money“
BUT... If time was money, we would all have the same amount.
Yes, we all have equal amount of time, 24 hours. No one have more and no one will have less.
It is not about time but what we do with the time we have. What do we do with our 24 hours?
Sure, there will be many things to do, we need to choose and decide what to do when and which is more important at that point in time. Sometimes that means saying “No” to many other things that require time.

It's all about moving in the right direction consistently. The destination will be reached. The only time it won't is if we stop moving before reaching it.
