Excuse or Reason? You Decide

I have been moving. It’s just that plain and simple. Well, not so simple, but plain, anyway. This goes back to over three years ago, in December of 2014.

While she was struggling with her last illness, my wife and I discussed selling our farm in Southern Indiana and moving south, to Florida to near my sister and her family. Just a “Hey, why don’t we…” very brief conversation that ended with an agreement to pursue it after she was out of the hospital. She passed away in April of 2015, and that cemented my intention to go south.

Fast-forward past numerous delays to December of 2017. In a telephone conversation with my sister, I confirmed my intention to move her way, intending to be there by the summer. She was rather hesitant in her tone, and she said her husband had received a job offer. “Great”, I said, “where?”. “Well, that’s why I called. We’re calling family members to see what everyone thinks.”

WHERE? CAN YOU GUESS?

Hawaii, she said. I told her I thought that was great, and that I thought they would love it, and my plans to head south would not be affected. She said that they were not ready to sell their house yet, and they wondered if I would be interested in renting it for several years while they were in Hawaii.

BINGO!!!

So, there they are, and here I am, about to start the next chapter of my life. I had to take a break from WA while packing and working with the renter of my farm in Southern Indiana before leaving there. I’ve taken a few weeks to get settled here in Lakeland, Florida, and am now ready to “get back into the swing of things” here in Wealthy Affiliate.

My re-start will be a bit haphazard, due to things still required, like driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance, Dr. visits, etc. However, if you are reading this, I have started. I’m going to go head-first into training where I left off and play catch-up with that, with content as a second priority. I am also going to continue in the SWAG challenge, and try to juggle everything, without breaking any plates.

If you are reading this as a WA member, I’m glad to be back among you. If you are not a WA member, well, jump on in and join us. You don’t actually have “take the plunge”, because YOU CAN JOIN FOR FREE!!! No credit card required. No experience necessary. And you can stay a Starter Member for as long as you like.

I predict, however, that you will, like me, have that “AHAH!!!” moment, and go Premium when you see all that is available to you with that membership level. Your effort is the only limiting factor--there are no guarantees--you will get out of it what you put into it--nothing is going to fall into your lap. However, the training and the tools are here, waiting on you to put them to work.

I jumped in as a Starter Member, and to be perfectly honest with you non-members, I was skeptical of the “FREE!!!” declaration. I kept an open mind, though, and immersed myself in the training. Before I knew it, I found myself at the end of my first week. It was at that point, seeing what I had accomplished and all that would be available if I stepped up, that I decided to upgrade and become a Premium member. I have never looked back or regretted that decision.

So there you have it. You are reading the “next step” in my journey. Oh, yeah, I brought my security team with me...
