I took an early retirement from the insurance industry back in 2009 when the economy more or less bottomed-out. Believe me retirement isn't all its cracked up to be. Not having a routine work schedule to run on each day and doing something productive such as earning some money is just not good for the soul. I'm here at WA to sort out what I know I'm capable of doing online but have just put if off so many times I suppose for fear of failing at a new challenge. I suppose there is some truth as we get older that making a change becomes harder to deal with and learning something completely new will take more time and effort than when we were younger. Life goes by so quickly and hindsight really is 20/20 as I have passed up some good opportunities for success simply because my priorities were wrong at the time. So, I've made up my mind this time, that I'm here at WA to get an education in building a foundation for an online business in some form or fashion learning new skills which will help me not only earn some money down the road but find some fulfillment in doing something worthwhile as a retiree. So, with that said, I'm happy to be here and intend on following through no matter what this time. Procrastination is unacceptable at this point! WA comes highly recommended as the place to be, but only if a person is serious about an online business and means to give their all to be successful at it. So,since I'm here bearing my soul with who knows how many people will read this I've gotta follow through this time for sure.

Hi Chase,
I'm glad you enjoyed reading my profile. First let me congratulate you on the new baby. You sound like a very positive person who is open to learning new things that will enhance your's and your family's life. You seem to be teachable and willing to take instruction from others who really have a genuine interest in you as a person and your success. Feel free to contact me anytime as I'm also learning new things everyday that I come in here at WA. I follow the lessons faithfully doing the tasks that are called for and applying what I have learned even when I may not feel like it. The whole thing in life I've found and is true here at WA as well is to keep moving ahead, never allow yourself to stop and become complacent forgetting your reason for being here. Someday you'll look back in wonderment at just how far you've come from that first day you signed up here with a dream to explore new territory.

Hi Joe, I read one of your replies this morning which led me to your intro. I too am new at this and retired - but am busy sorting a few things out as well as trying to follow as much and absorb as much as I can about WA and internet marketing. All the very best.

Tony

Hey Tony, Thanks for the follow! I've been here I think 12 days and am on lesson 3 of Certification Course Level 2. I've not been in here as much as I'd like to as I also run and Ebay business. I'm trying to get it closed down somewhat so I can devote more time to WA. This I know is the place to be if a person is really serious about an online business and making some serious money. Everything is done in an easy to follow step by step fashion which makes the learning more attractive especially if your a Newbie.. Tony, feel free to connect with me anytime! I wish you all the best in this new journey and challenge for success you've committed yourself to.

phydel, I need your help! I cannot find anyone to respond to this question, I suppose because no one really knows the answer. I cannot go on with my website until I get this issue fixed. Here goes

Why Does the Full Text Editor Bar below the Add Media Button on my website not appear? Only the Coding Bar appears which means I cannot do any changes in my content. Here is what appears on my website's about me, privacy policy & theme pages. See image below of the coding bar I referred to above. The content has been typed in on each page already but I have no text editor to work with. It's been this way ever since I joined up with WA 10 days ago. I have sent a ticket today to web support but have not received anything back from them. I know you are experienced and wanted to get your feedback before I go to kyle or carson. Appreciate your response phydel..

ok... sorry i got back to you late.. I guess we will have to blame it on the timezone differences.

to get the full text editor bar like you asking for,

as shown on your screen, you are in the "text" version of your edit page.

So click on "visual" to get the visual version

Then look for and click on a tool on the coding bar called "toolbar toggle"

Just place you mouse pointer on the tools on the code bar it will give you the name of the tool.

Click on the tool with the name "toolbar toggle"

Hey, Thanks Phydel everything is working fine now. I'm in the EDT timezone, I didn't think when I wrote you what timezone you are in. I guess I'm used to a 1 or 2 timezone difference. Anyway as you can see I'm only getting back to you16 hours after the fact. Again, thanks for your feedback on my question. Much appreiciated!

Phydel, Hope all is going well for you! I have a question I trust that you can answer as I consider you an expert at this. Here goes.
I'm in certification course 2 lesson 3 about ordering my menu. I'm using site rubix abit longer and have not bought a domain yet or transferred anything.
Is it true that as long as I'm in site rubix and in ordering my menu I have to keep the Home icon as it is customized and is tied into my site rubix URL? If I delete THE HOME PAGE I will really mess things up, true? The reason I'm asking this is that when I ordered my menu like I wanted from left to right my privacy link doesn't stay on the top far right as the last link but drops down and is centered below the main menu above it. In other words I have 6 different categories in my menu I created and I suppose there is only room for only 5 categories for the top of the page where the menu is.? I hope this makes sense? I was going to delete the home page in the menu as it is just a blank page, but when I saw the URL attached to it in the drop down, I had second thoughts about doing it. I guess it bothers me that in Kyle's training video his 5 menu links are aligned perfectly across the top and my 6 are not because I have that extra home icon page. Kyle's video site does not show a home icon in the website menu in the training video is why I'm puzzled. I know this is long and I apologize, but I know you will answer me promptly and I trust your input. Thanking you in advance Phydel I look forward to hearing from you.

no need to apologize for the length of your question. If am to get your question right, you are asking "if it will be wise or prudent to delete the home page on you menu bar as you don't want the privacy page dropping to the next line?"

It isn't wise to delete your home page as your website is url is tied to it. You have the home page on your menu and Kyle doesn't have the home page on his menu due to the differences in themes. Your theme is different from his. Kyle's home page is the name of his website. So if he clicks on the name of his website, it will take him to his home page.

With that said lets get to solving your issue.

what you will have to do is to take you privacy page from the to menu and place it either at the footer area or the side bar area. So that you will have five pages at the top menu instead of six which is giving you some issues.

So to move the privacy page from the top menu,

go to your website dashboard

go to appearance and choose menus

when you get to the menu page, click on the privacy policy bar and when the drop down opens, click on remove and then click on save menu

then on the same menu page , look at the top and you will see "create a new menu"

Click on that and create your new menu as "other pages" and save it

at the "select menu to edit", choose the new menu you created which is "other pages"

once you are done choosing that, look on your left hand side of your menu page and select the privacy policy page and add to that menu

when done adding it up, click on save menu

Afterwards, go to appearance and choose widgets

when you get unto the widgets page, look for "custom menu"

click on it and choose "footer area" or "side bar" depending on which one is available or the one you prefer.

and click on add widget

at the select menu, choose the menu with the name "other pages" and click on save.

go to your website and check if you like what you have there.

That's how you solve it

You don't have to delete any page

Thanks Kyle, yes everything is OK on this end. I just haven't had a lot of time today to really focus on WA. As I was sharing yesterday, I have my niche in the Health and Fitness category. So there's no problem as far as want I want to do. I appreciate you sending me the video earlier today. I will look at it before this day ends which is usually about 3am EDT in the morning here. I've found I get a whole lot more done in the wee hours of the morning when everything shuts down and I can do some serious brainstorming etc. Again, thanks for checking in with me Kyle.

I do have a question Kyle being that I'm on Lesson #3 concerning choosing a niche having just watched your video. As I mentioned in my introduction briefly about being active on ebay, I have an unusual niche for a guy being that I sell womens clothing both new and used on ebay. I kind of fell into what I do on ebay through my daughter who started a business a couple of years ago on the side coordinating high-end professional women's closets with the latest fashions. By this I mean having a background as a merchandise buyer and working in a local boutique she(my daughter) was able to build up a rather impressive clientale of professional women who look to her (my daughter) and her expertise in keeping up with the latest fashions in womens' clothing. My daughter would then shop for these clients based on her personal recommendations.
My daughter called me one day and asked me if I would be interested in trying to sell some clothes on ebay. I told her I would try it and see what happens. You see Kyle, these clients of my daugher's would give her clothes, some with the tags still on them having never been worn along with used clothes they no longer wanted for various reasons. These clothes were funneled down to me many with some very pricey price tags still on them.
This was how I got started selling womens clothing. Bear in mind I didn't know a darn thing about womens clothing and couldn't even name you one name brand line at the time. Anyhow to make a long story short, I started doing this the end of Novemeber 2014 and have sold 200+ outfits, dress pants, casual pants, jeans, tops, blouses, dresses, sweaters, jackets, capris, formal wear etc. In just a few short months I've taught myself about women's clothing having handled some of the top brands out there. So, my question is this. Since I sell so many different lines of womens clothing on a daily basis; to represent these lines as an affiliate marketer wouldn't I have to join every line's affiliate program and have a site representing each line? Women's clothing is a niche for sure, but I sell so many different categories(or sub-niches) under women's clothing how would I represent them all?
(dress pants, casual pants, jeans, tops, blouses, dresses, sweaters, jackets, capris, formal wear).
Please, let me know Kyle what your expertise tells you in sorting this possibility of making what I'm doing on eBay as a starting point for an online business. As I stated in my intro I don't want to stay an Ebayer the rest of my life. There is greener grass out there!
Your response will be appreciated.

I would pinpoint one aspect of this, you are not going to be able to target this whole niche as you would on ebay with your website and there is much more success when you specialize online versus trying to be a jack of all trades.

So narrow it down to an aspect of women's clothing.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help women that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Thanks for your reply Kyle, after brainstorming with the wife, I've decided to let eBay be eBay and have chosen a sub-niche in the health niche which will work perfectly for who Iam. I have already chosen a domain name after trying various combinations of key words for this particular sub-niche and finally got it nailed it down. I suppose I should go ahead and buy this domain even though I haven't arrived at that point in the training yet? I guess GoDaddy is as good as any of them out there for buying a domain name, true?
Reply
Kyle Premium
You can definitely buy the domain at this point, I just suggest that before you do you go through this discussion I created on how to properly choose a domain name just to make sure all of your i's are dotted. And if you want to run any domain ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand.
