Why not me?
What's the deal with being Google indexed?! I keep seeing people that literally JUST joined WA with maybe 1-3 posts on their website already being indexed. I joined early to mid July and I still haven't been indexed. I am still building my content and creating/organizing my website, BUT it's up and running. I just don't get it. I follow all the "rules" and yet, nothing. I know my niche has become fairly popular over the last year but seriously though! I hope it happens sooner rather than later or I'm going to feel like a total failure... I'm trying to prove to my husband that I can do this and make some supplemental income, but right now, I feel like I'm pushing a boulder up a hill. Trying to not get too discouraged! I'm going to move forward and continue to plug away. Wish me luck!

From my own experience I see that if you don't own the domain either it takes time to be indexed or it don't at all. It was when I finally brought the domain that I saw that it got indexed. It all takes time and patience it won't happen overnight. You shouldn't have to prove to your husband anything just believe in yourself and make it happen.

You could try submitting your post to Google Search Console to ask it to index your content. Usually, my articles are indexed within 24 hours with this.
But it is a bit complicated (nothing crazy either) and for the moment didn't do anything much for my traffic. Just the indexing.

I got my first 3 or 4 indexed quickly, but my last 8-10 haven't been. I don't have any insight as to why not. I got about 20 posts now and maybe 6 total are indexed.
It may just be a matter of working on your All in One SEO settings for the pages and posts. It needs to be set up to submit an xml sitemap for your website. Or you can just generate it with the plugin and submit it on the Google search console webpage. The xml sitemap is pretty much just a list of the urls from your site that Google needs for its web bots to "crawl". Just don't include the privacy policy or affiliate disclosure in the sitemap. These pages need to be set to "no index" in the SEO settings at the bottom. Good luck and hang in there!
I don't want to purchase the domain until it's more complete and functional. It just seems too soon.
Being Indexed and Being Ranked are two different things Jessamyn.
Being indexed simply means that Google has sent out the spiders and you website has been found. Ie it will appear in the search engines. Sometimes this can take a little time and it can happen for others faster.. some need to wait... just luck of the draw..
Ranking is to get your website to the top of the list.. in a nutshell.
Tell me .. what is your URL .. Ie your domain name? .. I want to check something

Jessamyn, you will get there, but it might take some time. Kyle will be the first to tell you that this isn't a quick way to money, it's work, and it takes time...sometimes more than I'd like. However, I have loved the process and I have learned so much more than I ever thought I would. I love this platform so much I transferered my author and blog sites to be hosted here at WA. If you're willing, send me your site address and I'll take a look - see if there's anything that jumps out at me.

Thank you! I definitely know it's not a quick way to money but I at least want to get indexed. That way my website is actually seen by people other than WA members. I will send you my site address. Just know, I'm in the process of upgrading my theme so I can change its setup to be more functional and for how I'd like it. I'm also in the process of writing more content but that takes me a bit of time since I research thoroughly before writing or publishing anything. Thanks again!

If you haven't done all your certification levels yet you won't get indexed, later in the training we are told when to submit our URL to google. Have you done that yet? If you haven't you wouldn't get indexed. Just follow the training, step by step and wait till your further in your training. I had the same issue. I see that you've only completed one certification level. Follow the training and you'll get there.
This is not the case at all... Yes submitting your URL for indexing can speed it up .. but even saying that .. it does not mean you need to complete the certification courses..
My site was indexed within 72 hours... it has nothing to do with completing the training
I’ve done several lessons in the second training but I skip some steps so I don’t forget to go back and actually do them when I’m ready like buy a domain or create an email associated with that domain. People get indexed at different times.
