What Does Your Agenda Looks Like? It May Reveal Your Level of Success
Have you asked yourself how much time during the day you spend on truly adding value to your business? There are several reasons why the answer to that question is important. However, we will only focus one thing: The time spent on building your success. In other words, do you believe that the amount of time currently being spent building your business is enough to get you to the level of success that you are looking for?
Let's think for a few moments about this together.
- The amount of time given to us in a day is 24 hours.
- It is widely recommended that you sleep for 8 hours. That leave us with 16 hours...
- If we take away 5 hours of our time to spend on things such as getting ready, preparing and consuming meals and getting to and from different places, we now have 11 hours
- If a full time job is part of our daily routine, it is probably taking 8 hours of each day. That would leave 3 full hours per day plus weekends to do fully dedicate to our business.
The scenario above does not take in consideration other important areas of our daily lives such as family and other personal responsibilities. But the point being made is that the spare time we may have is limited and we have to make the best use of it. Having a plan, agenda or any other avenue of organizing your daily tasks, could make a difference in how soon and what level of success is achieved.
John Maxwell, a well-known author in the subject of Leadership says:
"The secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda".

Allocating my time is one of my biggest headaches at this present time. Setting an agenda over the last few weeks has been easy to do but carrying it out has been almost impossible.
This coming week will see a large part of my work load stop completely and I shall be able to set my agenda with a better chance of it being carried out.
Some years ago an independent organisation spent some time on researching how much of sales people's time was actually spent face to face with customers. The result was only 20 minutes in 24 hours on average. Take out the time spent talking about things which were not directly related to the sales pitch and it was estimated only 12 minutes per day was spent effectively selling to buyers!
At the time, the average cost of keeping a sales person on the road and to cover his or her wages was approx £40,000 per year, Therefore, until the sales person made over £167 per day (or £13.92 per selling minute) profit, the costs were not covered.

This is great insight Rob.
I have to admit that allocating time is a daily battle for me as well. But here is the way I have been able to reconcile it all:
I have an idea of what success looks like. It may change tomorrow, but I have an idea today. Based on that idea, I have a plan. And in order to accomplish that plan, I have an agenda of tasks that I want to accomplish every day.
I may or may not fully accomplish the daily tasks. However, I know that what was completed, brought me closer to accomplishing the plan, which in turn is launching me towards success.
All this is easier said than done, but if you would have asked me 2 months ago to build a business online or write a post or an article, I may not have been prepared to complete that task.
Today, I would follow a simple plan which would include tasks such as: Google the topic, find a few keywords, create a template with a title, five sub-titles and start typing away.
Wealthy Affiliate and its community has provided us with the opportunity to provide valuable information to our customers all 24 hours of the day (not just 12 minutes) and at a cost much lower than £40,000 per year.
We are winning and getting closer to success at a faster rate than ever before.

Thanks J, putting it like that, it does seem like we are making lots of progress simply by completing some of the tasks we set ourselves.
I totally agree with your comments re-WA giving us the opportunity 24 hours and at a very reasonable price.
Perhaps, I should stop thinking I must always complete all the tasks I set for myself, do as much as I can, and look at it more on a daily renewable basis .

One of the disciplines I have adopted in this process is to observe and learn from those that achieve what I want to achieve. I do not try to do exactly what they did, but if possible, I learn the reasons of why they did it. The combination of the knowledge of "what they did?" and "why they did it?" can bring powerful insight to our lives.
Having an agenda has been one of those amazing insights. I have learned from those who have "gone there" and are now "coming back"

Absolutely true.
For my sake, I can make amends and squeeze my schedules. I am always flexible.
And my time spent on WA, I can spend the whole night after work from 7:45 am to 4:06 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
And during the weekends, I can sleep as late as 2 am or 3 am in the morning and wake up the next day at around 9 am or 10 am and its still fine with me.
Sometimes although you can have schedules but you must also be flexible.
Doing a little of this and a little of that and eventually you will see that you've accomplished what you've planned to do.
Anyway just my thought.

Yes is true that sucess is about daily persuit that is you got to have agenda so that you keep to it only as 9bto 5 job 9 hr and sleep 8 has taken half of our 24hour time. So we still have 7 hours this minus our daily routine of habitual like travelling to work 1hour dinner breakfast lunch every 20 min this total up to 1 hour taken away. Bath dressing preparing resting brush teeth 1hour. Before go to work and after work preparing 1 hour.

Preparing to work and after work 1h
Dinner/breakfast/lunch 20minx3=1h
Habitual routine shower/rest/dress/brush =1h
House work laundry tidy up =1hr
(unplan event visitor distraction procrastinating time waster children homework watch email sosial media neflixs hobbies studie etc).1hr
Others-1hr planning doing nothing just sitting or walking around. Own time. Wealthy Affiliate 😁Total 24hour gone like a win., 🤔😴

This is very true. Unfortunately, because I run my own bricks and mortar business I have very little time left. However, when I retire next year I'll have a whole lot more time available . Jim
