How many affiliate links can each blog have. Is there a maximum number?

Each time you add a link, you've given someone the chance to make a purchase. I usually put in 3-5 links per post, provided they make sense. If you are only reviewing a single product, I'd probably only add it twice. I have had a different experience and haven't had any issues placing links at the end of the first paragraph or in the second paragraph. But I've only been doing this for 20 years, so what could I possibly know?

Hi Joseph,

When Triblu speaks I listen.

I also found this out:

How many links should you be building?

The more links you have pointing to your website the better, right? There is a big misconception that more is better.

No matter how many links your competitors have, you shouldn’t focus on quantity. You should focus on quality. A link from a site like CNN, assuming it is coming from a relevant section and article, will carry much more weight than 10 links from mom and pop sites.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Thank you for hitting the nail on the head. Stay blessed always.
Joseph

Hey Joseph,

Kyle states in his training that we should only ever sprinkle affiliate links and NOT have them on EVERY page and/or post.

The rules I have been following is to NEVER place an affiliate link above the fold: ...and, one of my former websites, I made the mistake of including an affiliate link in the sidebar that appeared ABOVE the fold and that site appeared in my Google Analytics with a punishment (for a lack of a better word) due to that ad... which, needless to say, I move to appear below the fold... and all was then forgiven.

The other rule I learned years ago was not to use more than 3 affiliate links in a 1000 word post/page... and to ALWAYS identify my affiliate links, even if only to state that in brackets either before or after the link.

Now I make sure to have a LOT more posts and pages with helpful info and only a few posts with affiliate links.

What you can do to reduce your need of affiliate links is create landing pages with your affiliate links, and then point your posts to those landing pages. VOILA, you will be complying to Google's preferences.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Joseph, you seem to have your answers already.

Wilson.

Stay safe, stay well

Most people focus on getting good google search results. It's helpful to look at Google's statement about affiliate links. https://bit.ly/2Uu5R4k

This is really helpful George. Thank you.

I have not received any email in the new month of March 2019 from Wealthy Affiliate. I have checked even in the spam box, but no email from Wealthy Afffiliate.

I have a similar problem. I can send messages from my domain
email but I cannot receive. Also, my forwarded domain email is not sending messages to my Gmail account.

Hi, Joseph, it would help if we knew who your email server is. First, if using Gmail, check the Archive folder, as if email filters have, for no reason suddenly been activated, everything will go to that folder. Make sure the filters are unchecked.

I would also suggest contacting Support to ask them if they are still sending emails, if they are, then you may need to reconfigure your imap and smtp settings. I used Gmail until I started having trouble with email delivery, so changed to Outlook.com. Had no trouble since. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Thank you very much for your concern and advice. The problem has been resolved. God bless you abundantly.
Joseph

I'm not sure if some settings somehow got changed or not. You're not the only person who's had this question. Follow this thread in this article, which may be helpful to you: Kind regards,
Yvette

Thanks Yvette,
You are very helpful.
Joseph

You're welcome Joseph.
