Appreciation banquet
A young man called David amassed wealthy at an early age and decided to take his mother and her two sisters to a five star hotel for a special treat. He booked the trio into the same hotel for three nights. On each night, he labored to inform one of them how much he appreciated her for the role she had played in his upbringing.
He told his first aunt how he could never forget when he was at a boarding school and she was the first one to arrive after being admitted to a local hospital. The following day his mother came to see him in hospital and he ended up being cheered by both his mother and his aunt. He recovered much more quickly than what doctors had expected.
The second night he narrated to his second aunt how she had insisted that he visits her and spend his school holiday with her at her house which was near a lake. It was during that holiday that he met a man who gave him tips on how to be successful in life. He was a stranger who had come to join him as he sat by the lakeside with a friend. The stranger's advice had guided him to that very day.
The third night David told his own mother how lucky he was to have such a caring mother who had introduced him to her two wonderful sisters. He appreciated them because of their own unique contribution to his own successful life.
