Hey everyone,

I write my blog posts through Wordpress, but when I publish them, the published post's format doesn't match what I had designed. Specifically, the text no

You may consider using the class wordPress editor for blog content. It's easier to use. Just install the class editor plugin.

Perhaps you should change to writing your posts in Site Content. It will automatically transfer to your WordPress website in Wealthy Affiliate and you shouldn't have any issues. But if you do you will be able to put in a technical support ticket for help.

It is very streamlined this way.

Thank you, Lily, maybe I'll do that.

I definitely find it easier to write my post in site content and go into Wordpress to setup the layout the way I want.

Plus you can set writing goals in site content that are real motivators! I set the page for my goals as my browser home page. Helps me a great deal by keeping me on track.

Thank you! I did just redo it there, but the content isn't matching for me here, either. It's closer--the text wrapping works--but I have spacing issues now that I can't seem to fix. Urrrggg sorry to be a complainer, everyone who's reading this, but you can see I've been working on it for hours and I am so frustrated! I wish the end result would just look like it looks while I'm composing it.

Are you just using Wordpress editor? Or do you have a plug-in?

when you place your images are you selecting the placement on left or right...either of these will allow the text to wrap around the image...
if you click on the image you can select a image alignment...

wordpress dot com is not the wordpress we use it is a hosting company....
wordpress dot org is the program we use to build websites here...
and you don't need to login there to see the help files...
i hope you manage to sort it
phil
and as Luke says it may be a caching problem...
update your browsers cache by pressing ctrl+f5...

yeah i'll try clearing stuff...but where my confusion lies is that I have done that--I click the picture and then choose Align Right or Align Left. It looks great in the draft. Then I click update--still looks great in the draft--but when I preview the page, it doesn't show up as wrapped, so I just have huge blank spaces next to my pictures.

what theme are you using
can you do a screen shot
when you click on an image does it stil lshow the alignment you chose..

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this! Cleared my cache and cookies, but no luck.

oh theme i am using is colibri WP

what the problem is is that a block is across the whole post and you have overlapping images...so effectively overlapping blocks...
if you reduce the height of the images to the height of the paragraphs then you may find it will stay as you placed it...
or you could add a spacer block between the two paragraphs to see what is there...
or you could try adding two columns and the paragraph to one side and the image to the other...
if i could recommend kadence blocks and using their section and adding two columns and an image t othe right and text to hte left you can then add space under hte paragraph and increase the size of the image....
then duplicate hte section and reverse it for the next one...
sounds complicated but will be easier done than explained...
colibri was last updated july ..just keep an eye on it that it is kept updated....don't let it slip past 9 months outdated or try their support to see if it is still supported...
what you are trying to achieve is possible but not basic....
hopefully that makes sense...

the image below was constructed with a spacer between the two rows of blocks and then hte spacer removed and it shows as is on preview....

Hey, Empty your cookies and catch in history on your Google or browser.
usually what it is...
