One Month In: My Progress
I have been a Wealthy Affiliate member for a little over a month.
I am having a blast.
In the last month I have:
- Learned how to spell affiliate (I think).
- Joined Premium Membership.
- Paid for a full year membership.
- Just about completed level 2 of the Online Entrepreneurs Cert Course.
- Saw my ranking go from over 100,000 to 791.
- Developed two web pages (Changed my niche)
- Bought three domain names (Because I screwed the first one up by not reading through the course material. Bought a domain name at Big Daddy which I cant transfer here until about five more weeks. Should have just bought it here in the first place.
- Met hundreds of wonderful people including over 170 brave souls who have decided to follow me.
- Read countless blogs. Worked through several member created training posts.
- I am still in awe of the value of this place. In awe of the quality and the understandability of the training. In awe of the culture.
This has not been without it's challenges.
- There is a lot to learn. The scope of skills needed to do this seems vast. I have to find a way to be both aggressive and patient.
- For a guy who had been a writer or one kind or another for my entire adult life, I am finding it difficult to write these posts. I have not yet found my voice. It will come.
When I complete three months here:
- I will have 90 pages of content on my site.
- I will have completed the Online Entrepreneurs Cert.
- I will be in the top 200.
- I will be taking training as needed so that I can learn how to exploit social media
- I will be helping others
When I complete 6 months.
- I will have my first sales under my belt
- I will have 200 pages of content.
- I will be in the top 100.
- I will have completed the Affiliate Boot Camp.
- I will be producing blogs and training on a regular basis.
This is already much longer than I expected it to be. I won't blame you if you don't read this, but I HAVE to write it.
Thank you to every one who had posted me a word of encouragement, a kind thought. some helpful tips, or has just stopped by to say, :Hello." I am grateful to you/
I am headed to bed. Tomorrow, I will be back at it.

That's a busy month and very aggressive goals. Not sure what you mean by 200 pages of content in the next 5 months or so. Typically our websites might have 4 to 6 pages designed in to a website.
Posts are the content we publish on our website in order to get Google's attention and to improve our SERPS. They are recommended to be from 1,000 to 1,500 words. If you published a post every day for the next 5 months that would be more than 150 posts.
Yikes ... that's a very aggressive writing goal! And you are going to complete Bootcamp training?!
I must not understand your goal setting, but I wish you the best. You are obviously determined and that is a great quality.
Thank you, Dennis. I can see what you are saying. I do mean posts, not pages. I developed websites many years ago. Anything that stood by itself within the domain was called a "page." I have not yet adapted fully to the blogging terminology.
It is an aggressive, perhaps unreachable goal. I like goals with measurable outcomes. It creates accountability as well as an opportunity to learn by revisiting the goal as asking, "what can I do to improve.?" I ask that whether I make the goal, or not.
The goals may need to be amended. My intention is to post my progress on the milestones stated. If I don't make it, I'll say so and tell why.
Thanks for your input. It is helping.

You have a great attitude Joe. Your previous website building experience might be a little stale, but site building using our SiteRubix portal should be a breeze for you.
I wish you the best.
