I Just purchased Another Domain.
An Old Dream Revisited.
About twenty years ago I had a dream that I would like to construct a website that specialized in selling Australian made gear.
As usual life, got in the way.
I couldn't raise enough money at time to create the website and to stock it with the necessary gear.
The only real way to do it back then was to actually build an ecommerce style website and to buy in the relevant goods for resale.
I had plenty of room on our property to build a small warehouse and office.
However, the whole deal was going to cost around $50,000 just to start.
I had meet a business woman who was very clever, when I told her what I intended to do she loved it.
The first thing I did was to write down a comprehensive business plan that covered all areas of costs, potential growth, methods, stock types, etc., etc.,
I covered everything.
My best mate Pete (now deceased) was a web master. It was his business to build quality sites for big companies. He loved it and offered his services.
Now, he didn't do this because he was my friend. Pete would never let a wise decision be influenced by emotions. He was a true professional.
The lady that was going to finance the business was absolutely blown away by my business plan and Pete's involvement.
Then the Crunch came.
The potential financier had one condition, her husband needed to see the proposal and give his agreement.
Turned out this fellow was an ex public servant.
One thing I learned in life is that these people have very little imagination or foresight.
I hope I don't insult any members here because I realize there are different levels and types of public servants.
The ones I'm talking about are the bureaucrates.
If you were one of those I apologize. ... Or do I.
In any case, he knocked the idea on the head and there went my dream.
I went back to the usual humdrum of life and didn't really think about it until today.
Here I was sitting in my chair having a cup of tea and the old website name I had thought of for that site, way back in my past, came to mind.
So I thought I would check it out on WA's domain availability tool.
Hey Presto!
It was still available. So I went to site comments and checked out if I had enough credits to buy it and it turned out I had plenty.
So, without any hesitation, I purchased it.
Then ...
Another amazing thing happened.
I checked out Google for Aussie Affiliate programs and I came across a fantastic one that only markets Aussie made and owned products.
WOW!!!
I joined up immediately. It may take a while to get an answer back from them but..
Fingers Crossed ..
My Dream from 20 years ago might just come true.
There you have it my friends, without WA I would have probably never thought about reigniting an old dream.
Amazingly, it will cost a lot less to develop now that I know about Affiliate Marketing.
At this stage I can't let you know exactly what it's all about but..
Watch This Space...
Especially my Aussie friends.i
Why not reignite your dreams and find 'success at wealthy affiliate'.
All The Best. Jim

Jim, i love this idea. Dont ever let anyone tell you you cant do something. Respect high. What an idea. Selling Australian clothing and stuff.. There arent enough websites aimed at this niche. Its narrowed down quite nicely i think, but not too much. The ideas are endless.. On another personal note, im thinking of a little niche site called (pcgeargeek). The .com is still available, and im thinking of buying it before its too late.. Good luck to you.

Awesome read, Jim, so true bureaucrats, financiers and banks can be conservative.
Many a dream has been crushed at the planning phase.
It is so cool that you are reconnecting and reigniting your dream.
Sometimes the timing can make all the difference. Hang on to our dreams. Cool story and even better outcomes.
Best wishes, keep us updated.
Just curious you are rolling with the .com not .com.au
I Alex. I could only get the domain I wanted with a .com, I tried for .com.au.
