Australia is Burning.
We have had a shocking couple of weeks in Australia. Property destroyed, animals killed, a number of people have died. Houses burnt to the ground.
A state of emergency has been declared in New South Wales.
Sydney is expecting the worst today.
My home state of Queensland has some 60 fires burning.
our worst day is expected on Wednesday .
Fires are also burning in South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern territory.
Add the heat, dust, drought and strong winds and you have a recipe for disaster.
I pray that all are safe over the next few days.

We have to address climate change. Australia is burning to the ground and out government is pushing coals exports.
Food self fuels are destroying our planet and the government are only worried about filling their pockets.
They say it is to benefit the economy, however the everyday working Australian does not see the benefits.

Totally agree Mark. It's time we started thinking about what we are going to leave our children, grandchildren, and in my case, great grandchildren.

Today is not a day to stand and fight, mother nature is wilful today.
It came close to us in Port Macquarie on Friday.
We were packed and ready with a plan to pick up our elderly friend. Stay safe. Property can be replaced, lives can't.
I'm not religious but I'm praying for all Australians in the path of these fires today.

Yeah, you guys copped it hard down there.. We are at Corindi Beach which is 30km nth of Coffs. Thanks to the new highway, we actually have a good buffer and are a place where people are bringing horses and stuff to to hopefully be safe.
Our evacuation plan is the beach as if it gets here, there is nowhere else to go.
Getting windy now though so fingers crossed for all out there...
We only sold the farm 3 years ago near Bobin!

Yeah, appalling conditions around the country for fighting fires.
Unlike my home state of Victoria, where it's been cold and wet!

Maybe I shouldn't like this post. It must be terrifying to see the anger of Mother Nature. Yes, even Maui has had to deal with fires out of control. It is probably small compared to Calif or Australia. Keep you and yours safe. I am going to keep an eye on your situation. Dr. Jeffrey
Hi Jeffrey. The NSW fires alone have already burnt close to one Million hectares , which is around 2.5 million acres.
crazy. Global warming will bring more tragedy. The AG in Hawaii is suing the Feds for the compensation to deal with rising ocean levels and other tricks. I don't think there is a silver lining to such a tragedy. If there is a god, to answer a prayer could have stepped in already. I don't think we humans have a chance against the evolution of the planet. Jeffrey
