Remember Your "Why" and Push Through
I know that for a lot of newbies like me, it’s hard to keep chugging along towards something that seems so intangible and at times impossible. Seems like the goal so far away, like we will never get there, and yet it’s just at our fingertips.
It’s all too easy to become overwhelmed when we’re researching in our niche and come across competitor websites that are more established… well put together… have plenty of content… and are already making money.
For me this is when fear and doubt creeps in and the negative questions start to fill me head…
- What am I doing here?
- How can I compete?
- Will people take me serious?
- Will people like me?
- Will people follow me?
- Will I even make money?
It makes me want to throw up my hands and just give up at times.
But what keeps me going is my ‘Why’.
The “Why” that lead to me to find affiliate marketing and what ultimately brought me to the Wealthy Affiliate Community.
My “Why” is my Family.
Every day when I wake up and see my wife and 2 children, I am reminded that they are the reason why I am doing what I’m doing. I am reminded of the burning desire I have to build a life for them that my parents were never able to build for me.
They are the only reason why I keep chugging along… pushing through those fears and doubts toward my goal and I’m not gonna stop until I get there. I can’t stop.
What’s your “Why”?
I’m not talking about money, sure money is a good motivator and that’s ultimately what we are all here to pursue. But it can’t be your only reason.
I am talking about the burning desire deep down in your heart and soul that keeps you coming back, believing in all of this, and driving you toward the prize.
Take a second to reflect on your “why” and write it down or post it up somewhere where you can see it clearly from your computer.
When you’re starting to feel overwhelmed and discouraged… Stop… take a breath… look at it… remember your “Why”, and push through.

It’s an amazing motivator to write them out talk about them again and again. Even after writing this post, I’m feeling motivated and re-energized. So the benefits are great!

I never want my children to hear me say "We can't afford it."
I remember hearing those words from my parents when I was a child for the smallest things.
As a parent, I understand now how painful those words are to say.
