Ooooo I Just Noticed
Hi Ladies and Gents, (I decided to be formal, just for fun!)
O thank you, thank you, thank you I hear you all singing Happy Birthday to me!! Yes it's my day today and I am full of mischief.
Quick one. SAC going well for me. I only have 3 post to go, have finally settled on a logo for a while. Still not happy. I want a circular one like Target's and can't sort a circle in Canva yet. Have spent not enough time in Live Chat, have somewhat changed the structure of my site and most other things covered.
Here I need your help AGAIN. I have chosen to have a static homepage and now I need to put Recent Posts in the sidebar of the homepage. Help? How do I take it off the second page and put it on the Homepage in the sidebar please? And does it bring all the posts with it? Sorry not being very clear here. I need it to bring all the posts with it, so people can open my new Top Post under the title RECENT POSTS and have the comment box automatically appear at the end of each post. Currently one has to click on Recent ARTICLES in the top menu to bring up the Recent Posts in the sidebar. Navigation is awful. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I hope so.
I noticed in the Wordpress back office for my site, on my all blogs titles page, the following which says,(in the last three columns to the right), there are no SEO Titles, Keywords, and something else. Have I missed putting something in or is this normal? Was going to put up a screen shot for you and have forgotten how???!!!

I know what you mean about the titles. Scroll right down past the end of your post (in edit mode) and you will find boxes to fill in. It will look like your title is there but you have to put it in the box.
There are boxes for description and tags too.

I know what you want with the sidebars on your website. If you click on Appearance, then click on Widgets, this will open to a screen where you will find widgets with various titles. Look for a widget with the title 'Recent Posts' and insert it into your Sidebar. There should be a down arrow where you can select the number of posts you want to display. You don't need to enter post titles etc as the widget will pick those up. Once you've clicked 'Save' Recent Posts should be visible on all your posts and pages. Except that you may not wish to have this on your About page, or other pages such as Privacy, Contact etc. You will manage those within WordPress. If you need more help with that, you're welcome to send me a PM.

You should have a secondary widget area for homepage widgets. You need to put the widgets you want on it just as you did for your primary sidebar. Great job on the SAC. I might be able to help on that Logo, PM me with a copy and I can work it up on Fireworks maybe and get you sorted. My Birthday present to you.

Many themes will add widget areas like Home Widget, page widget, post widget, Footer widget 1,2, and 3 and maybe even a header widget as mine has for adding a banner or social media share buttons.
