Make sure that WordPress core and all your themes and plugins are updated to the latest version.
Log in to your WordPress Admin.
Click Dashboard > Updates.
Check that you have the latest version of WordPress installed and that all plugins and themes are up to date. Update if needed.
:)

This happens from time to time here at WA. You have been here since 2014 and I am surprised that you haven't faced this before.

The only way to correct it is to put in a support ticket. As you likely know, you should have a GREEN padlock icon in the browser bar just in front of your website URL. You have a i with a circle rather than a padlock. That is not good.

Contact support. They will fix it in a jiffy.

I have never seen that before - Are these in the updates section of your editor?

Hi,
Turn on SSL You can do that on the tab on your left.
websites>site manager>details>turn on SSL

and update all your plugins and WordPress Website.
Hope that helps.:)

Can anyone help me with these issues?

I currently have a page where my blog post go. Right now it is a blog about hair bc I am a hairstylist. I have found a new interest in becoming a distributor with It Works whic

It will be good to have two separates ones.

If you must you can view/display blog posts by categories. Here is a post that will show you how this can be achieved. It's worth learning either way: Regards,

John,

Two sites.

Hey Jill just a quick question . What kind of health problems products are you talking . Can cause I would say if you have to try to make it work I would just have a second website for that .

The company has natural skincare , hair skin and nail vitamins along with lots of other vitamins. Suppliments like detoxifying drinks, natural energy drinks, anti stress pills , natural essential oils, body wraps and defining gels. Etc...I was wondering if it would just be better to start a new website and focus on that or tie in into my hair one bc it's already established and do like a health and well being blog or a itworks section.

Ok one more question and what are you promoting with the hair website now ?

I am a hair stylist. I am self employed and promote my business. Like hair services color cuts etc. My website is jilljonesfabhair.com if you want to check it out

That's awesome .. my wife is a hairstylist aswell . I would maybe promote some natural hair products from that company. I just wouldn't overload with a bunch of random products. Try to stay in the niche . But it's probably an awesome idea to have two websites. One to promote your local business and sell some hair products and maybe a few must have appliances. This work also when you are doing clients hair you can tell them about let's say your family favorite flat iron and that they can get it through your website. Second website focusing on natural health products through the company you have found . Just do one at a time.

You can private message me if you need anything at all !

Due to unfortunate circumstances I may have to leave WA for a while, hoping to return soon. I need to keep my web sights so how do I go about doing this? If I cancel will I sti

im also having trouble with this is there a video tutorial. unfortunately i have to leave WA for a while due to health reasons. all my money has to go toward hospital bill until i get back in my feet and working again.

Hi Jill,

I'm sorry to hear that you need to cancel your WA membership for a while but I totally understand that things come up and life sometimes gets in the way when were building an online business.

You'll have 30 days to move your site or sites to another hosting service from the date that you cancel your membership.

To access your websites after you move them you would just need to write down the username and password and log in directly to them by going to yourdomainname.com/wp-admin

Replace yourdomainname with the URL of your website.

I hope this has answered your question Jill and please let me know if you have any other questions.

~Scott~

thanks so much. Do you know if all of my plug ins and things like SEO will still be in place? Can you think of anything else i need to do in order to ensure a smooth transfer?

You are most welcome Jill!

To the best of my knowledge, I'm pretty sure that your plugins should remain intact and shouldn't be effected by transferring to a new host.

Just to be safe, though, I would recommend that you backup your site to your computer in case something would happen during the transfer.

To do this simply go into your WordPress dashboard and scroll down to tools. From there go to export and select all content. Next, click on download export file and save this somewhere on your computer where you'll be able to access it easily.

This will save all your content including posts and pages. This will also save all your comments and media files like images or videos within your pages and posts.

I usually save mine in a folder on my desktop somewhere. If you need help with this or have any other questions for me Jill don't hesitate to reply to this message.

Your Friend, Scott

i did the file backup and it is saved as html. should it be in html form?

Hi Jill,

When you click on download export file this should be saved as an XML document and you should put it on your desktop somewhere. It shouldn't be in an HTML format.

You aren't given the option to save this in any other format and it automatically downloads as an XML file so everything should be fine.

If you need any further assistance with this please let me know Jill.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear that you are going to have to leave for awhile. If you have your own domains, you will have 30 days to find an alternative host for them. Otherwise, you will lose them, so be sure you get them moved from WA.

Thank you. Do you know how will I be able to access my websites thru WordPress? Or if I choose a new host will I automatically be able to log into wordpress.com bc right now I can only access my WordPress sites thru WA.
