Should I be concerned that one of my posts was ranking high on google for a few months and just dropped out of sight? Or should I shrug it off as an occurrence which is quit

Hey Joel,
If you are that worried about this, what you could do is add more new, quality information to that post to see if it will rank well again.
Most new posts will rank well at the start, but if enough clickers bounce from your post or DON'T click on it at all in the search results, then that is when Google starts to lower the rank of any and all posts.
Personally, I'm to busy creating content to continually check on my site's rank, never mind the individual posts. Google Analytics would be your best bet for determining what is most popular on your site.

Seems like sound advice. Thank you! I am still very green at this and just need to make sure. I appreciate the response.
