I see a lot about waiting 6 months for some results and all the stuff about site trust and how it maxes out at 6 months. I am talking of course about how well your posts rank i

Ranking: You shouldn’t bother at all...
Traffic: you should...

So just use social media and other sources before 6 months realistically?

All of it

I would fee a bit worried if after 4 months there is no traffic results. It could be down to the wrong choice of keywords, or simply keywords and niche that is overcrowded by much bigger quality sites dominating SERPs.

It could be you are not doing any social marketing therefore search engine is your only traffic source and if you are not on page 1 of google or other search engines, then you have no traffic.

it could be down to the quantity and quality of articles

I assume you are indexed on google, with a sitemap, etc...

maybe total lack of any type of backlinks (from youtube, fb, twitter, gogole+, instagram, pinterest) I name these social platofrms because they can generate traffic and you can link from there yourself

I am starting to think maybe I’m in a niche that’s too broad.

I’m in the gaming niche and of course it is massive so always thought this may be the case...

Social media marketing is fine but I consider it almost “fake” traffic as you’ve pushed them there so I’m looking more at generating at least a small amount of organic traffic over time.

well social media traffic is not just about luring/inviting people to click on your link back to your website, is also about having social content that people on FB, Twitter etc... will share and in turn create interest organic traffic.

gaming niche is broad if it is just gaming, but if you specialize on game-types (only MMOs, only driving games, etc...) then you start to narrow things a bit, or maybe focus on specific hardware, e.g. steering wheels, csgo mouse, etc....

Certainly something I need to look at, thanks for the replies!

no problem, good luck!

Content is King, so might be time to look at your keywords.

Also remember that social media is a source of traffic and this is covered in the "get started here" course and in the "affiliate bootcamp" course.

And do not forget the other traffic sources are also covered in the "get started here" course and in the "affiliate bootcamp" course.

I'm trying to create a new user for my new site so I'm not called admin but it can't seem to get my password right.
It's creating the used and it appears in my site manager

If your site is hosted at WA then you don't have a choice of password. it's automatically generated so you have to use the one you're given. This is done to ensure that you have a strong password (prevents a typical newbie mistake).

If you have any technical issues with your website contact Site Support.

To change "admin" to your own name for existing posts check out this video

Try clearing your cache and cookies in your browser. Then log out and back into your WP Site. and test it again.

I've now had 3 Bing/organic searches in the last few days and each of them is 100% bounce rate and spent literally 0 time on my site apparently.
What does this mean? Is it s

That probably not bot, it that who ever visited your site didn't find what they where looking for , so they left.

But they were there for literally 0 seconds, surely it takes even 1 second for a person to click onto a site and then leave?
