I'm pretty sure I followed the steps needed to transfer a domain name from GoDaddy to WA. When I look at my domains via (SiteDomain) it says "ready" for the domain I'm wanting

Godaddy locks domains for 60 days. It's annoying! But you can still use your domain at Goddaddy to build a website here on WA.

You have to wait 60 days before transferring it from GoDaddy. Contact support if you have any questions. :)

You can point the domain to WA so that you can use the hosting for the time being. Just change the nameservers.

Hope this helps :)

I want to give the option for a reader to send me there email. Not to necessarily "SUBSCRIBE". Rather just "send me your email" so that I can be able to send them a document as

I would just let them subscribe to your email list. There are places you can do this for free. When you are going to start out with email marketing later it is probably aweber that is best.

I haven't invested money yet into email marketing, but I did create a free mailinglist for newsletters on mailchimp.com

You could make a notification of new subscribers send out from your mailchimp account to your email account. That way you know who did subscribe with what emailaddress.

Then you could put a widget or write underneath your articles that if people subscribe to the mailinglist that they will get a free guide in pdf document.

That way it will be a win-win situation. You get subscribers you can write marketing or news related articles to on your mailinglist and they get a free document. This technique is very often used to get subscribers.

Even if you don't want to market anything to them right now, you can still start collecting subscribers on your list. I have a list but haven't written a single newsletter yet. I do have some subscribers. All for the future of your online marketing adventure.

I'm wondering if it is okay to add dashes, commas, forward or back slashes, "&", etc. to your keyword. If you add this does it actually change the keyword? As in someone wo

Direct answer to your direct question: NO

(..or actually, I should say:) try the combination in the WA keyword tool or Jaaxy and see what the results are.....

I don't think they are going to be anywhere the results you had before.

..NOW, in the title of the page or website, itself: Go crazy!

Here's a video on exactly how I handle those situations: Always go for correct grammar, but you can look at related keywords for a general idea of competition, traffic, etc.

When choosing your keyword, choose the ones that already make sense grammatically. When you choose ones that don't and you have to add words to make them correct, well now you're changing the keyword whose stats your looking at to pick it in the first place. You can add words to it. For example, if your keyword is "making money online" you could title your post "Making Money Online - the Do's & Don'ts You Need to Know". But you don't want to break it up when you add to it. Keep it together. Try not to title it "Best Practices for Making Lots of Money Online". Also try to keep the keyword at the front of your title. All these practices help with your SEO.

Makes sense. Thanks for the detail and examples! Much appreciated!

No problem :)
