The Greatest Gift of Teaching Instagram
Last night was another fabulous Instagram workshop by Felicia Lin in NYC. This one was called “The Greatest Gift of Teaching Instagram.”
This certainly was a gift, not only for Felicia’s students but for me, and I am so lucky to have a front row seat EVERY time. And I always learn something new, or see something in a different light whenever I attend and work Felicia’s seminars.
And judging by their response, her students also thought this was a greatest gift. Since they were exposed to and taught the newest features of Instagram.
There was a great diversity at last night’s workshop. This workshop was attended by a well-known local chef, a business life coach, an independent film maker, an actress/ magician, and 2 entrepreneurs.
Here were only some of the topics covered:
- Why you really need an Instagram business account
- Ways to Monetize Your Following
- How you Can Take One photo post and simultaneously share it over two different IG accounts
- IGTV: Where and how you can take the first one minute of your IGTV video and share it as an Instagram post.
- Posting Strategy
- Name Tagging
- Quick Replies
- Instagram LIVE
By the end of the workshop, everyone had an understanding of how to use all of Instagram’s features to grow their followings and to promote their businesses and personal brands.
These IG workshops are such a hit, they will continue monthly for the rest of the Year in various locations around NYC.
As usual, I was the authorpreneur’s personal Go-fer, personal videographer, and cameraman.
And I anticipate remaining on my current duties for the rest of the year at least.
A wonderful learning experience!

This is a great post-Kaju but I am still leery about opening up an account. Does it cost anything to have an Instagram Business account?
It scares me a little bit I went to Instagram and I had an uneasy feeling and I don't know what to do here. So I need a little deciding on this problem.
I know that it is my decision to make but I want to know more about Instagram if there is any more to tell and I thought maybe you could help me with this.

It doesn't cost anything Mary, it is FREE, anyone can open an Instagram account. Yes, I do understand. You can use a pseudonym Mary, you don't need to use your real name, if you are that worried:)
