That's so exciting!
Hey, I love using Pinterest. I first started using it for visual and digital media project swatches. Then this expanded into recipes. Then you know, I saw a picture of a fabulous house (probably the same one that everybody pins), and there was yet another collection.
Somewhere along the way, I became grateful to all the bloggers and news outlets that included pinnable images, so that I could keep a collection of articles on different topics in Pinterest for reference and later reading. (Bloggers, if you're reading this, and you have YET to create a way for your readers to pin... go to it!).
And I forgot to mention, I also use Pinterest to shop. It's a great product discovery tool. I think it's safe to say, that I am probably a tragic example of Pinterest's largest and most active demographic, LOL.

I am SO enthusiastic about learning how to optimize Pinterest for business to build great traffic after watching Melyssa Griffin's webinar. I'd already done my first 5 pins on Friday, and today I added another 5 of different color versions of the same list.
The platform seems very intuitive to me, Melyssa's discourse was compelling, and I see enormous upside potential in Pinterest toward building email subscribers and driving traffic to my websites.
Definitely will write a follow up post after Felicia Lin's social media seminar on Tuesday! So excited!
I love Melyssa's posts - one of her many followers! I hope you get a lot out of her advice. If any part of your customer set is living on Pinterest, you can't go wrong learning to tweak your Pinterest communications strategy. What kind of product or service are you hoping to share there?

Lol, it bothered me that I had to Google it to check and it was Disney who turned round and called it the princess and the frog, so I wasn't dreaming lol. Such a saddo I am. xxx
I've been using Pinterest for years, but never seem to get website traffic from it. Maybe I've been missing something or doing something the wrong way with the platform, because I do hear people raving about it as a traffic source.
Thanks for sharing this Darren. I cannot say with certainty as I am a newbie myself to Pinterest, but from what I am hearing from the people who have been gaining boatloads of traffic from it, they are using it as a search engine rather than a social media platform.
Interesting. I'll have to look into that side of things, because clearly the sharing I've been doing on my own boards hasn't led to anything.
Yes I would suggest look into this, and try something different. After all, I once heard a wise man say repeating the same moves that aren't working is the definition of insanity.

I notice the rules are a bit different. Here in Australia, the black is the game-changer. If you sink the black at whatever stage of the game, it's game over.
In Kenya where I grew up, scratching on the black would be game over too.

Well well well Mr, can't get much better than having your pinterest account used as the guinea pig. I look forward to hearing all about the Workshop on Tuesday. A wee sneaky peak at the video would be welcomed lol.
I have 2 pinterest accounts because I changed my original one to a business account by mistake and I can't change it back so I had to start another one but I want to move boards from one to the other and have no clue how to do it or what the easy way is.
What is your pinterest account Mr so I can follow you. xxx
That surprises me C. I would think you could change it back from a business account if you changed it by mistake. I seriously DOUBT you can transfer boards though!
No, if you change it to a business account, you cant change it back which is rather annoying. I will just need to go through the boards and pins and do it individually which won't take too long as there is not many to move I think. xxx
It's the same thing with You Tube; you cannot transfer your you Tube videos from one channel you own to a different channel you own. Very annoying.
It is very annoying and time consuming trying to sort them out but I will get there one day lol. xxx
Let me tell you though C, keep everything the way it is. YOU WANT TO HAVE ONE BUSINESS ACCOUNT, in addition to one personal account.
The reason is this is the only place where YOU WILL BE MAKING MONEY from Pinterest once you learn how.
Yes, that is what I want but I have things in my business account that belong in my personal account but when I save anything the two of them seem to merge when the boards come up.

The easiest thing to do is to eliminate the redundancies - eliminate pins from your business account that overlap wit your personal account.
Find the common ground, and eliminate the excess. That shouldn't take you long at all.
Then in the future, make sure you are only "pinning" to your business account what you want, and also to your personal account.
If both keep merging, contact Pinterest support.
