"Not hearing is not as good as hearing, hearing is not as good as seeing, seeing is not as good as knowing, knowing is not as good as acting; true learning continues until it is put into action." Xunzi

Anything that needs learning can only be done by the "doing"

Wonderful quote Bosco! And indeed action is on Top of the List!
Let's learn the most essential skills, and keep ACTING!

    Thank You:)!

I would say that the optimal self is that which will harness the power inside -- once we get in tune with it :)

cheers and thanks for the ongoing inspirations. Marc

Yes, we can tap into our optimal selves when we harness the power which is inside all of us, Marchanna.

Thanks my friend, I will continue to do these posts so long as it is providing and fulfilling a good service to the community:)

Thanks Kaju. I just stick with the training at hand. If I go ahead with other training and don't put it into use. I won't remember and then have to do it over. I bookmark some of the other training for later.

Excellent plan Mick, you should bookmark and then only visit those trainings on an as-needs basis. That's what I do, and it works:) Good Luck!

Thanks for the great advice, Kaju. I can certainly relate to what you say about wasting time on training modules I'm not ready for.
It's not so much that I'm not ready for them. It's more that I actually don't have a need for them and probably never will have a need.

I know what I need to focus on and I could safely say that is to concentrate on my two main websites' current needs, and others as they arise.

Oh, if only I could stop being a wanderer!!

Yes,indeed Valerie that's the way to be more efficient. Focus on those websites to drive traffic to them. Proud of you:)

You can revisit that other training on an as-needs basis. Otherwise this can lead to "wandering" and you don't want that!

    Kaju

Very, very good points! You are right. I have done that myself many time. Go around looking at other training and then not implement it. I have been trying to stick to the basics for now (adding content etc) and when I have time I will focus on specific additional tasks.

Yes Jessica, prioritize and focus on the most importnat lessons - and implement them! That is so important.

Glad you are off to an excellent start!

    Kaju

We follow your good advice. We have done and continue to do, the training in order and skip nothing. We have also gone back over and reviewed things many times and had a better understanding by doing so.
Its like layers of learning and you can't skip a layer because they build upon each other.
Thanks for another golden nugget of wisdom.
    Have a fantastic week!
    C & P

These are all great nuggets of knowledge C & P, it's important to not skip the training when you are first learning online marketing and to do it all in order.

As we acquire greater knowledge and experience, its important to review the lesson and to take action on it. I feel this is one of the most important steps one can take to get their business moving in the right direction, and not to remain stagnant.

Have a fantastic week, and keep Rockin'!

    Kaju

Great advice, Kaju. When I first joined WA, I felt overwhelmed that I might miss something if I didn't watch every video and live training that was offered. But I was so new that I soon found that most of the stuff I was wasting my time on way way over my head and just made me feel even more ineffective.

I discovered early on, that I needed to stick to the training lesson I was in the process of completing, take the steps outlined there, write the accompanying post to implement what I was learning, and ignore the rest of the shiny objects out there vying for my time.

I'm sure when I go back to writing for my website after I achieve my #1 goal of getting the mess out of my office, I'll need to do a lot of REVIEWING before I can get back to DOING once again!

Sounds like a GREAT plan Carol. You will do well.
    Thanks!

    Thanks, my friend.

    Ride on and forward:)

Actually found my desk buried under a blizzard of papers! Working on unpacking office supplies, etc. now.

That's forward moving - and now much lighter on the top!

Yeah, not in danger of desk collapsing from the weight of them now! Have got so much done the past 2 days, it's really exciting.

Have sorted and purged 4 file boxes of things that will be going into my file cabinet after I get some more Pendaflex folders tomorrow. Have tons more shredding to do now, too, but it feels so good to be able to dispense with the 4 file boxes.

I think I'll need to borrow someone's pickup to take all this stuff to the thrift store once I'm done sorting! A lot of it's probably headed for the garbage as well.

Hey, I knew you could do it. I'm proud of you!

Thanks. I still have a looong ways to go and might need to revise the timeframe, but at least I'm off dead center and making progress now.

Making progress is what counts. Stay with it!

Will likely finish organizing, filing, and putting files into file cabinet tomorrow! Yay! Then I can tackle the next layer of boxes! WooHoo!

    Hoo-Woo, she's got a schedule now!!

Yippee! Got the Pendaflex files, but ran out of regular ones, so still not quite done, but PROGRESS is so sweet!

Progress is sweet, and definitely being MADE!

    Yep! So happy about that!

    Me too..and for you too!

    You should be, Carol:)!

Thanx. I'm so excited! Everything is ready for my files to move into their new home. Just couldn't rearrange the furniture to get the file cabinet out of the middle of the floor in the middle of the night. Neighbors below me wouldn't not have been amused! Leaving now to go get my oil changed, then will be busy rearranging the furniture and FINALLY getting the files outta my hair! Can't wait. Started tackling a couple boxes last night when I couldn't do any more with the filing at that time. Feels SO good to be making this much progress, and that positive energy will propel me into the next tier of boxes! WooHoo!

Excellent! or should I say "Egg-cellent!!"

    Egg-Zacktly!

    Great!!
Spoken like a true cartoon character!

    Th-th-that's all folks!

    Haha!!

Was that Porky Pig who always said that at the end of the cartoon?

    Wuh-Ha-Ha-Haa!! That was Porky!

Thought so. Ha-ha-ha-haha! Who said that? Hint: another cartoon character, but different studio.I think it was one of Walter Lantz's characters.

    You got me!

    Woody Woodpecker

    Heeh-heh-heh-hehhh-hehh!!

    Gigglety-gigglety

    Heeee-Hawwww!

    Hawwww-Heeee!

    Yip-Peee!!!

    Wowza!

    Yoawza!

    Wow-weeeeeeeee!

    Thanks for sharing, Kaju.

    Always a pleasure, Big Rog!

You lay it out well. I'm finding that I am finding value in going back over the videos from training completed, as I miss things the first time through. I try to watch a video a day from past training. Every little bit seems to help.

Now I am going to go "do" as I have a new post ready to put up.

That's a much more productive use of your time Fran, learn it well enough, Take Massive Action FIRST...then hone it to perfection over time.

Just as you are doing with reviewing past trainings on You Tube:)

    Kaju

You can't beat iterative reinforceable task learning Kaju!

That's right Mike, just make that IRTL Count!
Apply it to the most relevant, and actionable task at hand!
