Halloween in Ottawa
My Halloween in Ottawa turned out to quite a surprising shocker of a day!
It was a day of wonderful chance meetings, and one where I accomplsihed what others might consider pedestrian feats, but for a NYC Boy like me were herculean!
It started out with my trip to Ottawa via Philadelphia on the flight from Beacon, NY. Leaving from this small airport called Stewart International for the first time ever, I should have expected the unexpected.
Meet Biscuit, the Service Dog!
As soon as I boarded the plane to claim my aisle seat, I was greeted by this Sweet Biscuit, a special Halloween Treat!
Meet Biscuit the Service Dog, a gentle yet dedicated golden retriever mix who was the proud protector of his awesome owner, a friendly young lady from San Diego who was traveling in aisle 3B with me.
The two just happened to be sitting next to me. I will tell you, I have you ever traveled on a plane sitting next to a service dog so sweet?!!
Biscuit with his cute red back pack full of doggie treats and hand sanitizer certainly made my trip so much more enjoyable.
Upon arriving at Felicia's parent's home, I was immediately assigned by Felicia's Mom to hand out numerous sweet treats to the Dangerous and Harrassing Trick or Treaters!!
Here is where I met "The Hungry Fly" and some of his other assorted marginal characters!
Then the doorbell rang once AGAIN, and here came the Sleepy Lion and ...huh, the Scared and Cowardly Elephant!!!
Oh No, these kids got it all backwards!!
Finally, after tending to the doorbell 50+ times, the Jack ' O Lantern in the window was SHUT DOWN, which means we ran out of candy...and were Closed for Business!
I was given the FINAL job to cut away at the Pumpkin while listening to "Ghostbusters" theme song.
As you can see in the top photo, I finally created the "Mean Jack 'O Lantern", until it drove me sooo CRAZYYY I had to wield my knife!!
All in Good FUN on Halloween!!

Good Morning Kaju,
It was fun to read your post and get some of the flavors of Halloween which is not much celebrated in the south of Spain.
The closest I will come to sweets is the sinful but delicious yearly trip to Estepa where we will buy the traditional Christmas sweets.

I am familiar seeing eye dogs as I encountered one on different occasions when I worked for the state years ago. It appears that you had a must interesting journey!
