Find Your Keyword Density Sweet Spot
The more I write and use keywords in the proper way, the more I learn.
And the more I learn, the more I successfully execute. It's become like an addiction, albeit a good one.
That's why I'd like to declare we all need to find our keyword density sweet spot. Itโs an integral part of a sound SEO writing strategy.
Still a Sound Part of SEO Strategy
When we understand this concept of the โKeyword Density Sweet Spotโ, and use it in conjunction with choosing the right keyword, meta title, and description, we exponentially increase chances of our posts and articles getting ranked high in the SERPs.
For posts and articles the Keyword Density Sweet Spot falls somewhere in the range between approximately 1/3 of 1% to 1.5% (0.003 to 1.5%).
Anymore and we are keyword stuffing and will be penalized by the search engines, any less our keyword doesn't have enough presence in our article.
Letโs say you intend to write an article of 2000 words, and have found a great low hanging fruit keyword to write that article around.
Great start. Now you need to roll up your sleeves and plan your keyword strategy for that article.
If you'd like to find out how I find my "Keyword Density Sweet Spot" and implement this powerful SEO keyword strategy, head over to my NEW training.
Great SEO by Leveraging Keyword Density
Hope you enjoy my training, and please feel free to share your thoughts.

A little off topic but what about images. I have a couple of posts that actually pretty much meet your targets both supposedly with low competion and one is on page 1 of google and the other about page 20! I dd wonder becuase on the latter I post have included my "keyword phrase" within most of the images but I wondered if his was maybe having a detrimental effect.
I do wonder how to title images as although they are relevant to that part of the article they often have no dierct relevence to the keyword/phrase.

Kevin, great question! As far as alt text is concerned, yo should never force a keyword into your alt text if it is not relevant to the image, Google will penalize you!
If you use the Yoast SEO plugin, whenever you try to use your keyword too many times (or wherever your keyword is not related to the image) it will give you a warning that you need to remove them from unrelated images.
Whenever I do this in Yoast to my best judgement, and click "refresh" it will usually will give me a "Green Light". So that is what I would try to revise.

Thanks Kaju, I'm still using all in one seo at the moment but may look to review this in the future if it is beneficial.
I think I need to review my alt text in that case in quite a few of my posts. What about in the title and description of the image, does the same apply?
If I update images in a post would you recommend resubmitting to google or let google find the changes when it does its next crawl?
Kevin
To my knowledge, it would nor hurt to include them, I do. But the meta title and meta description are the prime drivers for your SEO. Although I am not great about doing it, I would resubmit to Google.
