Coming to Kyle Country
Wouldn't it be super cool if I could meet Kyle?
Even by chance?
Although the possibiliy is still very remote, the odds just turned slightly in my favor. I will be coming to "Kyle Country".
We will be flying to the Seattle-Vancouver area in the next 24 hours, for a 10-day trip that will be part business and part vacation.
There we will be staying with a friend on Mercer Island in Seattle, then driving up to Vancouver for 3-4 days to visit one of Felicia's close relatives.
After that we will be returning to Seatlle for a big event.
This is the first time I have been back to the Pacific North West since 1999.
Vancouver is a very beautiful city. One of my personal favorites.
For the 10th straight year in a row, it has been rated the highest ranking city in North America for quality of living. I am looking forward to see if there have been many changes.
While in Vancouver, for an instance I thought I might seek out the chimerical "WA Headquarters", but then my silent lucidity came back to me.
Right now, I am back in NYC only briefly in-between trips for 2 days. The past 2 months have been literally non-stop traveling. As a result, I have not been very active here.
Will let you know while I'm there if there are any "Kyle Sightings".
As for meeting Kyle, in reality I suppose I will have to wait for Vegas.
One day.
Looking forward to my trip to the Great North West!

In 2009 we did a whirlwind honeymoon that passed through Vancouver through the Jasper - Banff then Calgary and also chunks of USA and yes it is beautiful country there.

It's amazing that I can still get some work done with all the traveling, much more content will be coming on my blog...in-between the Fun side trips!

Vancouver is one of my favourite cities as well. Stunning place. We visited last year en route home from Alaska.

How wonderful that you will visit the US and Canada. Although I live in Florida now, and was born in Chicago, I lived in both California and Seattle area. I love the northwest.

Perhaps you can check out Magistudios in Langley, BC and meet Jay, he still meets both Kyle and Carson weekly for coffee.
Staking out a Starbucks or a Costco could take a while and there's no guarantee....lol
Sounds like a great trip to the beautiful area of Vancouver.

Wondered what you have been cooking in Kaju's kitchen.
You are having a wonderful time traveling, it can add real value to our journeys.
You never know, I love the story from Jay how he meet Carson in the local DIY store the rest is history.

I love Vancouver. The last time I visited that fair city was in 1974. I'm certain a lot has changed. Write a post about your visit there and post pics.
Why don't you hang out with Kyle, Carson and Jay for a day? I'm sure they would be happy to meet you. Go for it Kaju!

Sounds like an awesome plan, Edwin...a lot better than hiding behind the bushes!! (lol!) After all, those binoculars can get quite foggy up in the Northwest:)
