A Great Start for My You Tube Channel

Look what I just received this morning from You Tube, this made my day!

This is the boost I needed, I’ve been procrastinating doing this YT channel for more than 2 years (that’s when I came up with the idea), but I finally kicked myself in the a***s and picked me self up by the bootstraps!

Its my new You Tube channel, recently trademarked, and turned into a successful AirBnB business dream I've been living the past 8 years.

Karaoke Pub Crawl (KPC) was watched for 1249 minutes (almost 21 hours), received 43 subscribers and 36 SHARES in less than its 1st month alone!

I’d say that I finally found my element, this is a Great start – 43 Subscribers, 613 views, 36 shares, and 1249 minutes of watch time in less than KPC’s 1st month since its inception!!

Now to a seasoned You Tuber with 10K or more subscribers, this might not seem like anything, BUT to me this is really, really exciting folks!

A huge success metric for You Tube is WATCH time – ask any YT influencer and they will tell you that. Shares are another great metric.

In addition to the KPC regular episodes, this weekend I just published a new funny yet instructional video to my “How to” series called “How to Use a Microphone to Sing Karaoke.”

I Found the Right Medium

This is the perfect medium for me because quite frankly I was getting quite frustrated blog posting. I was on pace to reach 200 posts in less than 8 months on my MMO website by January 1 (but ended up writing only 151 posts – still not bad!), but I decided to shift because I followed all the best SEO strategies to a tee but still was getting disappointing traffic.

What a great decision that was!

Now I am NOT giving up on good-old fashioned posting – no way – but the proof in the pudding is that video marketing through You Tube is a much better medium for me. I have already come up and am ready to launch a new channel related to a different topic that is prime for monetizing.

However for now, my prime focus will be this channel, which I intend to scale up in the coming months, and which supports my AirBnB Tours in New York. I must say, the creative process for video is very exciting to me, and although video creation is hard work and time consuming (IMO much harder than writing posts), it is a process that I reap great gratification from when the finished product is done.

Thanks for all of your kind support Ladies and Gents, I greatly appreciate all of it. Really.

KPC has its inaugural USA Launch Party coming up on Thursday January 16 in NYC – and many have already reserved their tickets on Evenbrite.This will also be our 3rd episode.

In addition, Talking Taiwan is back!

Social media expert Felicia Lin and I have revived the Talking Taiwan podcast, after a long hiatus we just released its 60th and 61st episodes. Felicia is the long-time host and she and I now OWN the podcast, she has some great guests, she blogs, and I am now doing the sound editing.
