Hi Kaju Large companies offer many benefits, which they can do if they have the cash flow to support them,e.g. health insurance, car allowances, subsidised travel, flexible working, education subsidies. In fact sometimes it seems better to be an employee rather than having to worry about how to generate all the money to support your employees:-) Working alone is not a bad idea! Best Alan

It's takes a tremendous amount of responsibility and expense (not to mention stress) to run a large company, I often think it's better to stay small and in a niche you are passionate about!

But, I think most people here in WA are either trying to no longer be an employee or get away from being an employer.

Some good ideas, but I have no intention of employing staff again, instead I will be using sites like fivver to do it for me.
Yes, I'm sure many here share your reinvention Stuart - that's a prevailing consensus here at WA. Most people here including myself are either looking to either learn to grow their own business or to find a comfortable passive side income in their retirement to live the digital nomad style .
I cannot blame any of them, been there done that who needs all that stress anymore?
