Hello!

My name is Jenna and I am from Tacoma, WA. I am a wife ๐Ÿ‘ฐ to my wonderful husband Franz and a new mom๐Ÿคฑ. I have been working in the Veterinary field for the past 10 years and am looking for a career change. My inspiration to start an online business to earn passive income is the recent addition of my daughter Evalean ๐Ÿ’•. Becoming a mother has been such an incredible experience and I want to be able to spend as much time with her as possible!

Superb goals Jenna! You have a large network and community here at WA that you can leverage for help and support along the way, myself included.

It all starts with a goal...then is followed by action...then is followed by results. This is going to be how it pans out for you and I can't wait to hear about all of your successes in the days, weeks, and months ahead! :)

Congratulations to your joining WA premium membership. From now on you have all accesses to every feature on WA. However, to make full use of these functions, to make your success as big as possible, you have to put more effort on your online business.

Never hesitate to ask question when you get stuck. Always have faith in what you're capable of and what you can achieve in future. Most importantly, always believe in yourself and that every thing you work on right now will pay off, even the tiniest one.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi Kyle,

Funny you should reach out about this! I have a good idea of what I want to do for my niche but need a little help refining it or at least knowing where to launch off from.

I want to do blog posts about being a first time mom and my experiences and tie in what products and services have helped me so far. So, I was thinking my niche could be gifts for first time moms. I could also add in first time/future moms to include a bigger group as suggested by another WA member.

I guess I'm not sure if I should set up my website to be giftsforfirsttimemoms.com and just feature products with personal testimonials. Or if I should set up a blog website something like thisfirsttimemom.com and be able to write stories and experience content then tie in the products to the stories.

(My thought would be to use the start of my website name "This" as a segway to other websites such as thiswomangolfs.com, thiswomanlovesfootball.com, thiscrazycatlady.com. I could also swap out and use mom instead in those website titles. I may be getting ahead of myself but I have so many ideas! LoL)

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would choose the domain that resonates with you the most, but I do like this domain.

thisfirsttimemom.com

I think that will give you more flexibility to scale and to grow. I just wouldn't try to tackle too many ideas all at once when starting out Jenna. Focus on one niche, and one direction and then you can diversify.

I look forward to working with you and seeing your progress moving forward. :)

Hey Jenna,

I think either niche idea can work, but I personally like the second idea because it's more content focussed, and ultimately it's content that leads to traffic, and targeted traffic leads to conversions once you get the monetisation aspects dialled in. So I like the second idea, I feel this has more potential long term.

I think you've got some great ideas here too, my only suggestion would be to focus on ONE site for the first 6-12 months at least, while you're learning and building out your business. That is typically the best approach, then scale out down the road.

Hope this helps and I'm here if you have any other questions.

Ok perfect! I wanted to do the second one as well but just wasn't sure if that worked as a "niche". And yes I only plan on one website for now. I was just thinking for the future.

Thank you so much for your insight!
